Conan O'Brien is set to host the 2025 Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on 2 March, However there are doubts that it might not happen.

After the Critics Choice Awards that was due to take place this weekend was cancelled/postponed due to the horrific fires raging through Hollywood, people are now asking what else is going to be cancelled as award season approaches.

Premieres called off

Robbie Williams biopic 'Better Man', and 'Unstoppable', starring Jennifer Lopez, have already been called off due to the LA fires and people can’t help but wonder, what’s next?

Golden Globes kicked off the season

After a successful ceremony kicked off the award season, tragedy was just days away. Fires tore through the countryside leaving devastation and chaos in its wake.  

Homes destroyed

Both Paris Hilton and Billy Crystal have lost their homes to the blaze and at least five people have lost their lives with the numbers sadly expected to rise over the next few days.

Events cancelled

The BAFTA Tea Party and Writers Guild of America (WGA) nominations, have already been cancelled due to safety concerns.

Productions stopped by order

Production has also stopped on many television programmes and the LA County Fire Department has ordered that all permits used for filming in areas including Altadena, La Crescenta, La Canada Flintridge and parts of Pasadena be withdrawn.

Big shows stopped

NBC Universal said it had suspended filming on TV shows 'Loot', 'Ted', 'Suits: LA', 'Happy's Place' and the Golden Globe-winning 'Hacks'.

Gigs not going ahead

Margaret Cho announced on her Instagram account that she had cancelled her weekend gigs in LA, urging everyone to "stay safe".

Perhaps the Oscars ceremony won’t be affected

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has pushed back the voting deadline for this year’s Oscars nominations. Their original closing date was the 12th, but due to the horrific circumstances, it has been changed to the 14th. At this moment, thoughts are with all those who have lost their lives or homes in the fires.
