Josh Duggar's prison sentence has been extended... Find out why!

Josh Duggar, a former TLC reality star, will be spending a little bit longer behind bars than he imagined.

Duggar had an additional two months in prison added to his twelve year and half year sentence for possessing an illicit mobile phone, as reported by various news outlets such as The Daily Mail.

In addition, Josh was put into solitary confinement for breaking prison rules. The former reality TV star is doing time at FCI Seagoville, a jail in the state of Texas.

Many have wondered what Josh Duggar's life in prison would be like. Yes, he grew up humbly until he was a teenager, but since then, Josh Duggar has lived a life of privilege thanks to his parents' reality show, '19 Kids and Counting.'

How has Josh adapted to life behind bars? What sort of rules does he have to follow? Is he used to life behind bars due to his strict upbringing? Is he allowed conjugal visits with his wife?

To give us an idea, we have consulted the FCI Seagoville Admissions and Orientation Handbook. This document provides general information on the Texas prison's rules, regulations, and programs. Click on to read about Josh's life behind bars!

FCI Seagoville holds a total of 1,736 inmates at the facility. Upon arrival, Josh Duggar, like all new prisoners, attended various orientation lectures to familiarize him with the rules.

Josh was then assigned a room like all prisoners, which is chosen based on "bed space availability" according to the prison handbook.

Josh most likely will be sharing a room with 2 to 6 people in jail....something he is used to from childhood!

Each room at the Texas prison includes bunk beds, a folding chair, storage space, a locker for valuables, and a place for inmates to hang their laundry bags. All inmates are issued sheets, a blanket, a pillow, and towels.

Per a report by Forbes, all inmate housing is communal -in other words, there are no self-contained rooms. All activities that take place at the prison, from laundry to meal times to education, are done in groups.

Now, this is one area where Duggar might not notice a big change -he did grow up with 18 siblings, after all! In addition his parents used the "buddy system" so their kids were basically never alone.

According to the official inmate handbook, all inmates in Seagoville are issued: "5 shirts, 5 sets of underwear, 1 pair of shoes, 5 pairs of trousers, 1 belt, 5 pairs of socks."

Josh Duggar will be expected to follow the prison dress code and wear "clean, wrinkle-free institution-issued clothing" from Monday to Friday.

However, on the weekends or when "off duty," inmates "may wear personal clothing to, from, and in recreation areas, and in the housing unit."

The prison is very strict about how prisoners dress, and no matter what they wear, they are not allowed to alter their clothing or wear "excessively tight or loose fitting clothes."

Again, since Josh grew up in such a strict and conservatively religious home, the clothing rules most likely will not bother him too much. When he was a child and teenager, his strict parents even made him swim in long pants and a shirt!

Regarding food, there isn't anything official in the handbook about the quality of the food or what's on the menu in Seagoville prison.

However, Josh grew up eating Tater-Tot casserole, so maybe it won't be a huge change for him!

However, we do know that Josh likes to snack and may struggle with the strict prison meal schedule: Breakfast is at 6:30 am, lunch is at 11 am, and dinner is at 4 pm.

Regarding his work assignment, we think Josh Duggar might struggle. Yes, he grew up with plenty of chores as a child....but his job in recent years has been sitting in front of a computer at a used car lot in a rural area, hardly what one would call a "labor-intensive" job.

At FCI Seagoville, "All inmates will have a work assignment and are required to work."

Josh will be assigned a job in one of the following departments: Facilities/Mechanical Services (includes plumbing work, waste disposal), Food Service, Financial Management/Business Office (includes laundry services), or he could land a job in the textile factory located on the premises.

Duggar will only receive pay based on the hours of "satisfactory work performed." In addition, the pay is very, very low.

For example, one of the best paying jobs is at the textile factory, where inmates are "paid at the rate of $.23 per hour and have the ability of earning up to $1.15 per hour." Yikes!

On top of that, Josh Duggar will be assigned clean-up duties depending on the needs of the prison. The Duggar family believe that women are the "keepers of the home" so men don't usually mop floors or help with cleaning. Josh Duggar certainly won't be used to that, nor will he have time to laze around while in jail!

In many ways, it seems that Duggar may adapt to prison life, even if he isn't used to hard work. However, there is one prison rule that will undoubtedly be a huge blow to the convicted felon.

FCI Seagoville does not allow prisoners to have conjugal visits with their spouses. That means that Josh and Anna Duggar will not have any form of true intimate contact for the next 12 years!

The Duggar family believes that to be good Christians, they must have as many children as possible - to be "fruitful and multiple," to quote Jim Bob Duggar. However, it looks like Josh's quiver will not be growing any time soon.
