Kim Kardashian to produce Elizabeth Taylor docuseries

Kim Kardashian is a big fan of the famous British-American actress Elizabeth Taylor, so she decided to embark on a project all about her.

The socialite and businesswoman was confirmed, via a statement from BBC Arts, as the producer of a new docuseries about Taylor, who was a Hollywood legend.

The BBC production will be called "Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar" and will consist of three parts. It will look at the life and career of one of the last stars of the golden age of classical Hollywood.

"Elizabeth Taylor was unapologetically herself, a fighter. She is proof that you can keep evolving and changing and have different chapters in your life. And she paved the way for all of us who came after her with that blueprint," Kardashian said in a statement.

BBC Arts said the docuseries will give the actress the prominence she deserves and show all her facets, like "how she reinvented the nature of fame, even as she smashed the glass ceiling in Hollywood, before going on to become a billion-dollar businesswoman, activist and advocate" they said.

In addition, it was indicated that 'Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar' will feature privileged access to those who knew her best, including family members, friends and colleagues of the actress.

In fact, according to InStyle, the production will interview her friend Dame Joan Collins, with whom she competed for the role of Cleopatra; Margaret O'Brien, one of her schoolmates at the MGM studio; her best friend Carole Bayer Sager; and Dr Anthony Fauci, with whom she worked on her fight against AIDS.

It is also important to note that Kardashian will appear in the series herself. She was the last person to interview Taylor before she died of congestive heart failure at the age of 79 on 23 March 2011.

Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, born in 1932 in London, England, was the youngest child of Americans living in England. The family later moved to Los Angeles, California, due to World War II.

Taylor made her acting debut at the age of 10 in the film 'There's One Born Every Minute' (1942), but it was 'National Velvet' (1944, photo), the film that would make her a star.
