Michael Jackson's children had an atypical upbringing

Michael Jackson's children were his pride and joy, and the King of Pop did his very best to shield them from the eye of the public. Remember the weird ways in which he would attempt to cover their faces when taking them out in public?

What are Prince, Paris, and Blanket doing now??

As a result, Michael Jackson fans never really learned much about the performer's offspring, and as the years have gone by since their father's death, we haven't heard too much about them. However, lately, we've been asking ourselves -what are the Jackson kids up to now? How old are they? Do they have jobs? Can they moonwalk like their dad? Do they still live in Neverland? To find out the answers to these and all your other burning questions about the Jackson kids, click on!

Michael Joseph 'Prince' Jackson Jr

Born on February 13th, 1997, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr is the oldest of the three Jackson children. Prince was brought into this world by Debbie Rowe, his father's second wife. However, following the end of the couple's marriage, Jackson won full custody and raised Prince and his siblings as a single father.

Michael Jr received royal treatment

Prince earned his nickname over the lavish treatment he received as a baby - Michael Jr had a dozen nannies and nurses to care for him at his home in Neverland Ranch. That being said, Prince's sister, Paris, has spoken up in interviews, saying that although they were very privileged, they were not spoiled by their father.

Prince didn't inherit MJ's dancing skills

In 2019, Prince graduated from Loyola Marymount University, where he studied business with a focus on entrepreneurship. In an interview with 'Fox Soul' he said, "If I did [think of becoming an artist], my family would be very honest and tell me that it's not for you. I don't have the voice for singing and it took me a while to learn what a beat was, but I got that down at least. I just can't dance."

Prince's main focus is Heal Los Angeles

However, perhaps his biggest passion at this moment is the charity he founded while still in college, 'Heal Los Angeles.' The organization is the young man's main focus these days, and the organization aims to provide meals to those in need.

Prince and his girlfriend

Prince also has a girlfriend, with whom he has been together with for several years now. The happy couple often post photos together, out enjoying nature and their dogs.

Close with his sister

It also seems clear that Prince and his younger sister Paris are very close, as they often tag each other in photos on social media and appear to spend time together regularly.

Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson

Paris Jackson was born just 14 months after Prince on April 3rd, 1998, and she was named after the city where her conception took place. Prince and Paris grew up with some very famous godparents: Elizabeth Taylor and Macaulay Culkin.

Paris has her mother's looks....

When Paris was just one year old, her parents divorced, and so Prince and Paris were raised by Michael Jackson and a slew of nannies at Neverland.
Paris and her siblings were kept out of the spotlight while their father was alive, and for the most part, continued to do so following his passing, only making the occasional appearance at special events.

...and her father's love of performing

However, while Paris' brother Prince may not have inherited the gene for performing, it seems that Paris did. Following an appearance in January 2017 on a Rolling Stone cover, Paris was offered a contract with IMG Models and began acting. Jackson's only daughter has appeared in Fox's 'Star' and movies such as 'Gringo' and 'The Space Between.'

Paris is a singer too

Paris also inherited her musical abilities from her father and has enjoyed singing since she was a child. In interviews, she has spoken about how she and her father used to sing together and how he expressed both surprise and delight that she could harmonize with him. Paris began her music career with her two-person band 'The Soundflowers' in which she sang under the stage name 'Pk Dragonfly.'

Paris's debut album came out in 2020

In the last few years, music has become her main focus. In 2020, Paris Jackson released her debut solo album titled 'Wilted,' which received critical acclaim. When asked to describe the album in an interview with 'Variety' Paris said that the album was "just a good starting point," and when asked about what genre she would classify her music as she said, "I'd say it's more alternative folk, but I don't plan on staying with just that. I want to keep growing. I want to keep expanding. I want to keep experimenting. I want to try as many things as I can while staying true to myself and what I think sounds and feels right."

Paris' mental health struggles

Perhaps the most famous of the Jackson kids, Paris has also been very honest about her struggles with mental health, substance abuse, and self-harm. Paris has said that an essential part of overcoming her difficulties has been accepting that she can't please everyone.

Paris has learned to accept herself

In an interview with NPR in 2020, Jackson said, "It took a really long time for me to finally get to a point where I'm like, OK, well, can't please everyone. If I go left, I'm wrong. If I go right, I'm wrong. So I might as well just be myself."

Prince Michael 'Blanket' Jackson II

The baby of the Jackson clan is Prince Michael Jackson II AKA Blanket. Born on February 21, 2002, via an unnamed surrogate, Blanket is the most private of the three children of Michael Jackson. Blanket earned international fame when Michael unintentionally dangled him over a balcony in Berlin when he was a baby, startling fans and photographers who feared for his safety.

Call him Bigi

Prince Michael II earned the somewhat unfortunate nickname of blanket shortly after birth, and it is rumoured that he is not a fan of his childhood nickname. These days, the 19-year-old goes by Bigi, undoubtedly many years of 'wet blanket' jokes and teasing about his nickname prompted this change.

Bigi loves video games and martial arts

Bigi, as he prefers to be called, attended Buckley School, is said to be a fan of martial arts, and loves to play video games. However, since he works so hard to maintain his privacy and doesn't have a public social media account, learning much about this young man isn't easy. In March 2020, it was reported by 'Today' that Bigi had bought a home in Calabasas, California, worth $2.6 million.

Bigi is close to Prince

Bigi does seem to be close to his older brother and sister. He attended Prince's college graduation in 2019.

...and Paris too

Big sister Paris congratulated him on his birthday via Instagram in February of 2020. Paris shared some old photos of her with Bigi and wrote, "...my little brother is a legal adult today. What the f***. I used to change his diapers. This is such a trip. Proud of the handsome, intelligent, insightful, funny, and kind young man he has become. He likes privacy so that's all i gotta say. hbd lil bro."
