Rejected and scorned

As the Argentinean newspaper claims, the young man was in love with the influencer but one last rejection led to an argument during which Néstor Soto took the young woman's life.

He burnt the car with her in it

In an attempt to get rid of the evidence, the self-confessed killer put Catalina's body in his car, a Renault Clio, and drove to an open field, where he set fire to the vehicle.

According to the official autopsy, the young woman died by strangulation. She was not abused but she did show marks of slaps and burns, probably caused by Néstor Soto, La Nación reports.

He spoke to Catalina's mother

Néstor Soto spoke to the influencer's mother on the phone while she still believed Catalina was alive. She saw through the geolocator of her daughter's iPhone that it was near the perpetrator's house.

A heartbreaking story

He lied to Catalina Gutiérrez's mother, telling her that he had not seen her daughter, pretending to look out the window, as told by La Nación in a heartbreaking account. She would later find out what really happened.
