Sharon Osbourne celebrates Kelly Osbourne's pregnancy

Sharon Osbourne is overwhelmed with joy - her daughter Kelly Osbourne is expecting her first baby! In mid-May, Kelly Osbourne announced her pregnancy on social media, and her mother, Sharon, couldn't help but share her excitement on Instagram.

Sharon wrote: "My [heart emoji] could not be more full. So excited to share the beautiful journey ahead with you @kellyosbourne."

Kelly has not yet shared any information about the father of her child. However, in early 2022 she did reveal that she has been dating Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson.

Kelly shared a picture of her and Sid Wilson celebrating Valentine's Day with the caption: "You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson."

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne already have three grandchildren from their son Jack Osbourne. Jack is the father to Sharon and Ozzy's three granddaughters: Pearl, Andy, and Minnie.

Sharon Osbourne was born in London, England, on October 9th, 1952, to parents Don and Hope Arden. Sharon has spoken about her difficult childhood: her father was abusive, and her mother, after a car accident, became cold and had difficulty fulfilling her role as a mother.

Sharon's difficult upbringing led to her problems as a teenager and young adult; she turned to alcohol to numb her pain and became a violent person herself.

Despite conflicts with her father, Don Arden's position as a music promoter and manager would benefit Sharon. Don Arden managed some of the biggest names at the time, such as 'Queen' and 'Little Richard.' Sharon began working as a secretary at his office as a teenager and eventually, despite angering her father, would become a manager herself.

Don Arden's agency managed Black Sabbath, and that is how Sharon and Ozzy met when she was just 17 years old. In 1979, Black Sabbath fired Ozzy from the band due to his substance abuse problems. Sharon took the bull by the horns and stepped in as Ozzy Osbourne's manager to begin his solo career, and the pair also began dating at this time.

Sharon was very successful in helping Ozzy go solo. She recruited a backing band for Ozzy to record the 'Blizzard of Ozz' album, which led to Osbourne's prosperous solo career. Sharon's father, however, was not impressed with his daughter "stealing" a client from him and was extremely resentful of both Sharon and Ozzy's relationship and the fact that his daughter was managing Ozzy. As a result, Sharon and her father became estranged for many years.

Following the success of the release of 'Blizzard of Ozz' in 1980, Sharon continued to manage Ozzy's career. In 1982, Sharon and Ozzy got married in Maui, Hawaii, in July. The couple went on to have three children in quick succession: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.

Despite a pleasant outside image of a successful couple with an adorable family, the Osbourne marriage was a very rocky one. The couple couldn't escape their alcohol and substance abuse problems, and the pair were often violent with each other. Sharon has even gone so far as to describe herself as a "beaten woman" and has stated that Ozzy once even knocked out her front teeth. However, Sharon also attacked her husband and once even hit him over the head with a full bottle of scotch.

The most notorious and public incident happened in 1989, and Ozzy was arrested for attempted murder. Ozzy had returned from the 'Moscow Music Peace Festival' not feeling very peaceful at all, and under the influence of illegal substances and alcohol, attempted to strangle Sharon. Following the incident, Ozzy had to spend six months in rehab; during that time, Sharon did some soul searching herself and decided not to press charges against her husband.

Career wise things were going great for both Sharon and Ozzy throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In 1996 the couple created 'Ozzfest,' an annual festival tour with performances by many well-known heavy metal and hard rock bands, touring within both the United States and abroad.

Since Sharon had been so successful managing Ozzy, she decided to begin managing other musicians and created 'Sharon Osbourne Management.' Sharon Osbourne was the only employee of the company and managed big names such as The Smashing Pumpkins' (pictured) and Motörhead among others. Sharon's services were in high request; she even turned down big stars like Courtney Love and Guns N' Roses.

In 2002, Sharon and Ozzy's family made their way onto television after Sharon negotiated a deal with MTV to make a reality show about her family. 'The Osbournes' followed Ozzy and the family's life, although only two of their three children agreed to be on the show. Older daughter Aimee wasn't interested in being in the limelight and therefore wasn't filmed for the show.

'The Osbournes' became a huge hit, with fans enjoying seeing Ozzy as a father and Sharon's straight-talking with their rebellious teens Jack and Kelly. The show ran from 2002-2005 and even covered Sharon's experience fighting colon cancer.

After the show ended, savvy Sharon knew how to ride her wave of fame and first released her autobiography 'Extreme' in 2005, which documented her marriage's difficulties and successes and told of her troubling childhood. The book was a huge success and was number one on the 'Times' best-selling list for 15 weeks straight.

Sharon tried to launch her own talk show on two different occasions but without success. In the US in 2003-2004, 'The Sharon Osbourne Show' ran for one season and was not renewed. Later, in 2006-2007 the UK version of the show was released, but once again, 'The Sharon Osbourne Show' failed to be renewed.

Sharon loves to speak up and share her opinions, and she must have loved being on camera because she has continued to pursue opportunities to be on television over the years. Osbourne was a judge and mentor on 'The X Factor' from 2004-2007; however, she did face controversy over many outbursts while on the show.

In 2007 she was a judge and host on the second season of 'America's Got Talent' alongside Piers Morgan and David Hasselhoff. However, Osbourne and Piers Morgan did not get along, which may have led her to pursue other opportunities. In 2008, Fox announced that it would be releasing 'Osbournes Reloaded,' a variety show which the whole family would host. Unfortunately, the show wasn't a success and was canceled after the premiere episode.

After a stint on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' Sharon finally found a steady job on 'The Talk' in 2010. The show is similar to the 'The View' and Sharon and fellow co-hosts Sara Gilbert, Leah Remini, Julie Chen, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.' The Talk' ended up being the longest-lasting TV gig that Sharon had. Many of her co-hosts left and were replaced over the years, but Sharon endured on the show until the end of March 2021.

Unfortunately for Sharon Osbourne, her inability to keep her controversial opinions to herself is what cost her position at 'The Talk.' Sharon found herself in hot water on the show on March 10th 2021. She aired unpopular and controversial opinion in an on-air debate with co-host Sherly Underwood (pictured), whom she repeatedly spoke over and interrupted.

In the discussion, Sharon defended Piers Morgan regarding the statements he made regarding Meghan Markle on 'Good Morning Britain.' Sharon feared she would be labeled a racist for defending Piers, and she was correct.

CBS conducted an internal review of Osbourne's actions on the show that day and concluded that Sharon's attitude "toward her co-hosts during the March 10th episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace." Following this, Sharon was "invited" to leave the show; however, it is said she received a huge payout in the range of $ 5-10 million, although CBS has denied this.
The whole scandal caused 'The Talk' to press "pause" on the show. Sharon has since apologized for her actions on Twitter, saying she felt "blindsided" and "panicked".

On Twitter and Instagram Sharon said, "After some reflection, after sitting with your comments and sitting with my heart, I would like to address the discussion on The Talk this past Wednesday," Osbourne began in her follow-up post. "I have always been embraced with so much love and support from the Black community and I have deep respect and love for the Black community. To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry."

On April 16th, Sharon appeared on HBO’s 'Real Time With Bill Maher' in her first interview since her dramatic exit from 'The Talk.' In response to the allegations that Osbourne is racist, she said to Maher, “I’ve been called so many things in my life. I am so used to being called names, but racist is one I will not take.”

Sharon explained to Bill Maher that her situation isn't about being racist or not but rather about being aware of the correct, current terminology. “It’s not fair because it isn’t about being a racist,” Sharon said to Bill on the show. “It’s about maybe about not knowing what is correct and woke for your language that day because it changes from day to day,” a reference to Robin DiAngelo’s 2018 book about race in the U.S called 'White Fragility.'

Despite all the controversy, Sharon soon found her way back onto television. In 2022 Osbourne joined Piers Morgan, as a host of the U.K's 'Talk TV.'

Osbourne then appears next to him, making her debut official.

In March, 2022, Morgan announced the news: “What I’m really looking for in my co-workers at Talk TV is somebody who is, well, a bit like me. Very opinionated, fearless, funny, knows their own mind, not afraid to speak it, unpredictable, maybe a little bit dangerous. But also somebody who every time opens their gobby little mouth, it makes global news,” Morgan posted to The Talk’s Twitter page.
