Summertime! Maye Musk, Kim K, Ciara an Yumi Nu on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition
Sports Illustrated did it again. Its cover for the 2022 Swimsuit Special was among the best of the year. The well-known edition of the magazine, which always arrives in May, featured "powerful women."
Sports Illustrated celebrated "28 powerful women, with a wide range of backgrounds and body types."
Of those 28, four were chosen for its cover: Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Maye Musk and Yumi Nu (photo)
Kim Kardashian, at 41 years old, posed for the first time in her long career for Sports Illustrated. Her enthusiasm was obvious in the way she announced it:
"OMG, I'm a Sports Illustrated cover girl. We took these photos in January (2022) and it's been really hard to keep this cover a secret," she commented on Instagram.
As Kim Kardashian revealed, "it is an honor and a dream to be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition."
The socialite's photo session took place "in one of my favorite places in the world: the Dominican Republic," Kim K explained.
On the cover, the businesswoman wears a cream bikini from her Skims brand with matching cream gloves. The photos were taken by Greg Swales.
Inside the magazine, Kim Kardashian's photo session is overwhelming. There is silver, black and a motorcycle. All very simple.

The singer Ciara is another star of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2022. She has a spectacular cover that includes a Texan hat and animal print. In the full photo session, the singer wears everything from a beautiful black swimsuit to an impossible denim bikini.

"My dream of being on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Special has finally come true. Proud to be on the cover of such an iconic magazine and to join the elite list of women who have come before me," Ciara wrote on Instagram.
The third of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2022 covers is for Yumi Nu, a well-known singer and plus-size model.

"I haven't been able to sleep, breathe or think clearly since I found out. I never dreamed of this because I didn't know I could. Thank you from the bottom of my heart," she said on social media.
The words of Yumi Nu to her followers have been, without a doubt, the most emotional of the four cover women's reactions. "I feel very honored to be able to make history with you," she told Sports Illustrated.
The fourth cover and, perhaps, the most iconic of all, starred Maye Musk, a legendary model, dietitian and the mother of Elon Musk.
