Hospital drama fans were delighted with the news of Grey's Anatomy's return for an eighteenth season. Near the end of season seventeen, the producer announced that Ellen Pompeo has agreed to another year of Meredith Grey.

In addition to Grey's Anatomy, another hospital classic is said to be returning for a new season: ER! George Clooney has hinted that the world-famous medical drama about County General Hospital may have a sequel. The series started in 1994 and had fifteen successful seasons.
