Where is Charlie Sheen?

Charlie Sheen is known for 'Two and a Half Men' and for his excesses, problems with women, and questionable lifestyle. Yet, he's had a successful acting career spanning three decades.

Charlie Sheen's constant excesses were normal to the audience and the press and were displayed daily in the media with almost zero allusions to his acting career. Nowadays, he's keeping a low profile.

Since 2015, after the actor revealed in an interview with 'Today' that he was HIV positive, Sheen has maintained a low profile.

At that moment, Charlie Sheen decided to embrace his family life, quit all his vices, and amend all past mistakes.

As he said on 'The Today Show' in 2016: "I regret ruining 'Two and a Half Men'. I regret not being more involved in my children's lives growing up… But we can only move forward from today, and they wouldn't call it the past if it wasn't."

It is common knowledge that Charlie Sheen has the economic capacity to live a wealthy and luxurious retirement, especially after earning 1.8 million dollars per episode in the last season of 'Two and a Half Men'.

So if Charlie was to come back to television, he would have to find a special project, something where he could laugh about himself… And that's exactly what he found in the series 'Ramble On' in 2022.

The actor starred opposite Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon and played himself in this tragic-comedy series where old veteran actors from Hollywood like Sheen feel left behind by the industry. They had to reinvent themselves to go back to a business where talent is abundant and a chance for old glories is very unlikely.

However, to compare Charlie Sheen's career with the rest of the cast of 'Ramble On' is almost an insult to the profession.

Charlie Sheen's filmography is exceptional. The actor starred in incredible movies like 'Platoon' (1986), 'Wall Street' (1987), and 'Hot Shots!' (1991).

After those Hollywood successes, Sheen had a main role in the TV shows 'Spin City' and 'Two and a Half Men'.

But his wonderful career was overshadowed by a life full of scandals and substance abuse. It was so bad that in 1998, at just 33 years old, the actor had a heart attack.

His several visits to rehab weren't very successful as the actor always relapsed just briefly after coming out. One of those relapses took place in 2010 and the filming of 'Two and a Half Men' had to be stopped. That was the spark that provoked yet another feud between the actor and the creator of the show, Chuck Lorre.

A year later, CBS stopped the show and put Charlie Sheen off the map, introducing the character played by Ashton Kutcher as his substitute. And although Kutcher wasn't bad, he had some big shoes to fill…

Charlie Sheen's project after 'Two and a Half Men' didn't work either. The show 'Anger Management' was ripped up by critics and his co-star, Selma Blair, got fired because of her constant complaints about Sheen's behavior on set. Despite that, the series released its 100th episode at the end of 2014.

Since then, we have seen Charlie Sheen doing small cameos here and there, but the actor has removed himself from the spotlight, the scandals, and the feuds. We saw him in an episode of the HBO series 'Bookie' in 2023, for example. He hasn't lost his charm yet!
