The (more or less) parallel lives of Charlotte and Gaz after 'Geordie Shore'

Gaz and Char formed an impossible couple that half the world wanted to see living happily ever after. In a way, they got their happy endings, but just not together. What happened to Gaz and Char?

Charlotte Crosby vs. Channel 5

Charlotte Crosby appeared in the Channel 5 documentary 'Celebrities: What Have You Done to Your Face?' in April 2021. It was not voluntarily though! Char and her manager had protested the programme long before it aired. After it broadcast, the reality star left a statement on Instagram condemning the show for being disrespectful.

'Plastic face'

The show's "experts," Charlotte wrote on Instagram, "dissected my 'plastic face' with disgust, discussing my fluctuating weight (with images), and then decided to flash up the worst troll comments from the past 5-6 years." She added that people bullying her for her appearance (whether on TV or on social media) had caused a "dip in mental health" and "plummeted self-esteem" for the reality star.

Geordie Shore

Char and Gaz became famous with the MTV reality show 'Geordie Shore.' The programme brought them together, but 'Geordie Shore' also broke them up.

Since it ended, millions of fans have continued to follow the lives of the two celebrities. While some followers bullied Charlotte, many cheered on the happiness she and Gaz ended up finding. Let's see how they are doing now.

Gaz: tireless worker

Since 2008, and before coming to 'Geordie Shore', Gaz worked as a model. He also made a living as a tiler.

'I should have a master's degree in flirting'

In 2011, at the age of 23, he was selected to participate in 'Geordie Shore'. His hairstyle, abs, and attributes became famous - first in the UK, then worldwide. His opening line ("I should have a master's degree in flirting") is now television history.

Reunion with former cast members

His ease of seduction was impressive. It got him a ticket for two seasons of another illustrious reality show: 'Ex on the Beach-' The format had him party around with six ex-couples, including Geordies like Vicky, Scotti T., and Charlotte (Char) Crosby herself.

A specialist in reality shows

Gaz appeared in 'Drunk History' and 'Celebrity Wedding Planner.' Moreover, he was the runner-up in 'Hell's Kitchen Australia' in 2017.

A record-breaking participant in 'Geordie Shore'

At the end of 2017, Gaz decided to leave 'Geordie Shore.' He had been the cast member with the longest continuous participation in the show. No less than 15 consecutive seasons featured the hunk. He was a legend.

Goodbye, MTV. Hello, Emma McVey

The reason Gaz left 'Geordie Shore' was his impending fatherhood. In 2016, he began stable relationship with the model Emma McVey. The couple had their first child, Chester Raymond Beadle-McVey on 15 January 2018. Almost two years later, on 16 December 2019, their daughter Primrose Ivy Beadle was born.

Return to the origins

Today, Gaz is part of 'Geordie Shore: The Originals', a more tranquil format in which older participants come together to catch up on their lives. It's been almost a decade since the original 'Geordie Shore' began.

11 Degrees

In addition, Gaz has its own brand of clothing called '11 Degrees.' He regularly wears his own apparel on social media.

Gamer

Gaz also has his gamer side, and he shares his passion for FIFA and 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' on his Twitch channel. The reality star has over 25,000 fans there.

Father of the Year

Despite all this, his Instagram account shows that his two children take up most of his time. Gaz has gone from being the UK's biggest seducer to 'father of the year' in a decade. And he's happy with that life.

From celebrity to Celebrity

If Gaz is a celebrity thanks to 'Geordie Shore', the heights that Charlotte reached thanks to the reality show are even more impressive.

Gaz and Charlotte: a stormy love

While there were many romances on the Geordie Shore, none of them have ever been able to match what Gaz and Charlotte had. They loved each other but also formed a bomb together. It was always ready to explode.

From Geordie Shore to reality TV heaven

Charlotte was 20 years old when she embarked on the television adventure that changed her life. One example of how Charlotte's fame soared after entering 'Geordie Shore' is that just two years later, in 2013, she won the 12th edition of 'Celebrity Big Brother', beating rapper Abz Love.

Her own show

And then came the best part: TLC gave her a program of her own: 'The Charlotte Crosby Experience.' After this first solo show, in 2014, MTV offered her a similar adventure: 'The Charlotte Show.' It has now gone on for three seasons.

Constant TV presence

She also presented 'Just Tattoo of Us' on MTV, 'Celebrity Juice' on ITV 2, and 'Through the Keyhole' and 'Celebs Go Dating' on E4. As if that weren't enough, she participated in 'I'm a celebrity... Get me out of here: Australia.'

The best-selling fitness DVD

While struggling with wellness and fitness on a personal level, Charlotte Crosby managed to dominate this field in the shape of videos and books. In 2014, the celebrity launched the fitness DVD 'Charlotte's 3 Minute Belly Blitz.' It led the sales charts for 18 months and is now considered the best selling fitness DVD ever.

Success as a fitness influencer

She also released 'Charlotte's 3 Minute Belly Bum Blitz,' a DVD that focused on hardening the buttocks. Once again, it went straight to number 1. Apart from the videos, Char's wellness books 'Live Fast, Lose Weight: Fat to Fit' and '30 Daily Blitz' were tremendous successes.

Bestselling author of 'Me Me Me'

Still, these books had nothing on the two biographies she published. Both 'Me Me Me' and 'Brand New Me' went straight to number 1 on 'The Sunday Times' bestseller list.

Fashion and makeup

Charlotte is an ambassador for brands such as Iconic London, Bondi Sands, Mark Hill Jair, In the Style and Daz. She also has her own make-up line, 'Flique,' and a fashion line, 'Nostalgia'. It's something she has in common with Gaz: the apparel and merchandise.

Super-influencer

Charlotte Crosby is a real star on social media. Her several profiles are extensions of her fun, wild and crazy personality. You can count her among the select group of super-influencers.

More than 15 million followers

Even during the pandemic and confinement, Charlotte generated new content on a near-daily basis. She has more than 15 million followers on all her profiles together.

Happy ending (with nuances)

The definitive separation of Charlotte and Gaz led them down completely different paths. He's a dad, she's out and about for as much as she can. Still, they have much in common: they are both hard workers who managed to get the most out of their image as reality TV personalities. A happy ending indeed.
