Anggun's latest achievement is that of voice actress in the French version of the Disney movie 'Raya and the Last Dragon.' She plays the role of Virana, a companion of Raya whose voice in the English version is performed by Sandra Oh.

Anggun Cipta Sasmi was born in Jakarta on 29 April 1974. She has been an artist since she was a child. By the age of 9 she was already on stage and during her teenage years she had great success in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Anggun's father, Darto Singo, was a Javanese writer. Her mother, Dien Herdina, was related to the Yogyakartan royal family. Anggun's parents trained her as an artist, and by the age of 11 she had already recorded a children's album with her own written songs.
