Why did Netflix spend an exorbitant amount of money to sign Shonda Rhymes? Well, to give them series like 'Bridgerton'. Halfway between 'Gossip Girl' and 'Downton Abbey', this Victorian soap opera has hooked millions of people since the end of 2020. If it continues to use Julia Quinn's books as inspiration, the series could easily reach eight seasons.

And speaking of millions, Steve Carell gets one per episode.
