The lesser-known children of Julia Roberts and Danny Moder

Julia Roberts and her husband, American cinematographer Danny Moder (whom she met in 2000 on the set of 'The Mexican'), have formed a beautiful family with their three children, whom they have always tried to protect from the glare of the paparazzi and the media spotlight.

Most of the public are unaware of the more private life of the woman, widely known as America's sweetheart, in which her three children and her husband are the most important part of her world.

The wedding took place at the 'Pretty Woman' star's ranch in Tao, Mexico, and just two years later, on 28 November 2002, their twins Phinnaeus Walter and Hazel Patricia were born in Los Angeles.

They were born five weeks earlier than expected at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, the hospital where other stars such as Britney Spears, Kate Hudson, Eva Longoria, and Penélope Cruz also gave birth to their children.

The couple's third child, whom they named Henry Daniel, was born, also in Los Angeles, on 18 June 2007.

The five of them form a beautiful family... and Julia Roberts is deeply proud: "The life that I've built with my husband... The life that we've built with our children. And that's the best stuff.… The point is to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them," the actress said in an interview with 'CBS This Morning' in 2022.

For a time, Julia Roberts' top priority was her family, which led her to take a period away from acting. "But I also had three kids in the last 18 years. That raises the bar even more because then it's not only; 'Is this material good?' It’s also the math equation of my husband’s work schedule and the kids'’ school schedule and summer vacation..," she told The New York Times in an interview.

Julia Roberts and Daniel Moder have always tried to keep their children away from the media, and so for a long time, they grew up unaware of their mother's global fame. In turn, this meant that the public did not really get to know them.

Despite his desire to preserve his privacy, Danny Moder has on occasion taken to his public Instagram profile to show the world his happy family and children.

Phinnaeus Walter, whom everyone calls Finn, was given his middle name in honor of his mother's father, who died when she was ten years old. Unlike his sister, who is blonde, he has red hair.

Hazel Patricia has her middle name in honour of her maternal grandmother, who is also deceased. We have already seen her on the red carpet with her father, Danny Moder.

In July 2021, we saw her with her father at the Cannes International Film Festival, where she went to support her father with his work on the film 'Flag Day', directed by and starring Sean Penn.

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder's family also have a public passion for football, a sport that their children play regularly.

And now that they are old enough, the time has come for them to leave the nest and, according to Closer magazine, the oldest children of the Roberts Moder couple are studying at the University of California Fine Arts and Computer and Information Science. Although it is not known exactly what each of them is studying.

"It's really thrilling and I wasn't lucky enough to have a college experience. And so to see how it's happening for them is really fascinating. And yeah, I'm just, I'm excited for them," Roberts told 'Extra'.
