Stars and their wax figures
The Grévin wax museum in Paris premiered a statue of 'Fast and Furious' hero Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock, in October 2023. It did not go down well. When Johnson saw the statue, he said it was 'too white.'
The actor, who has a Samoan mother and a Black Canadian father, commented that "it looks like he works at H&R Block or something... It looks like The Rock ain't never seen the sun a day in his life... It looks like The Rock is part of the royal family." All joking aside, the star has made a deal with the museum: They are going to adjust the statue for as long as it takes to make it look like the real Rock.
Sometimes it's easy to tell the difference between the stars and their wax figures. For example, you have to admit that Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's double has eyes that seem a little frozen and a smile that appears a little tense. But if you look at some of the other wax figures in this gallery, you'll see that the resemblance can be uncanny!
