"I'm a bit stuck" - Has Elton John gone blind?
Has Elton John lost his sight? The answer appears to be more affirmative than negative, as Elton John himself announced.
"I lost my sight and couldn't watch the performance, but I enjoyed listening to it," the singer-songwriter said at the 'The Devil Wears Prada: A New Musical' gala this weekend.
The show, which took place in London's West End, was held as part of a charity gala for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. It was there that his vision problems became apparent.

The 77-year-old music legend contracted an infection in his right eye in July 2024 when he was in the south of France. Doctors believe that this has caused his severe vision problems. Elton John talked about the diagnosis on ABC News' 'Good Morning America'.
"I lost the vision in my right eye in July and I have not been able to see for four months," he said on the TV show. "My left eye is not at its best as it has limited vision," he added. The singer was open-hearted about his medical condition.
The question is, can Elton John's illness be cured, or will the after-effects be permanent?
The artist himself commented on social media that his eyes were in the process of healing. However, he added that the road to recovery was not going as quickly as he would have liked.
"I am healing but it is an extremely slow process and it will take some time before vision returns to the damaged eye," he said.
The artist says he has "hope and courage that everything will turn out well, but I'm a bit stuck at the moment."
He adds that, in his current circumstances, he is incapable of organizing the soundtrack for a musical like the one he has just presented. "I don't know if I could go into the studio and record," he says. It means we'll have to wait and see how his eyesight develops.
