Built-in 1868, Peggy's Point Lighthouse is located in the eastern part of St. Margarets Bay, Canada. It is one of the most photographed in the world and a true icon of Canada.

In the north of Ireland, facing a stormy sea, this stunning lighthouse sits between fabulous cliffs.

Found in the bay of Brest, this stunning lighthouse helps boats navigate a dangerous rock formation hidden under the water.

The Faroe Islands are an archipelago in the North Atlantic made up of 18 islands. On the island of Kalsoy, this lighthouse is nestled in a vast, breathtaking landscape.

This beautiful lighthouse can be found in Liguria, one of Italy's most exclusive places as it is a hideaway for celebrities and the ultra-rich. Despite dating back to 1917, it is completely solar-powered.

Constructed in 1855, the Bass Harbor Lighthouse is located on the coast of Maine. A bell in the lighthouse warns people in the surrounding area of heavy fog, which is a frequent occurrence.

La Entallada Lighthouse is in a spectacular location with views of both the ocean and the mountains.

One of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world is located on Lake Constance, Germany. The Landau Lighthouse was finished in 1876 and has been welcoming people to the German town ever since, along with the Bavarian Lion statue.

Located in the channel between the islands of San Pietro and Sant'Antioco in Sardinia, the Mangiabarche Lighthouse stands alone on a rock not far from the coast, the very emblem of the nostalgic charm of this type of building.

This lighthouse was built in 1888 and is located on the Oregon coast, in the United States. Its name, Heceta Head, comes from the Spanish explorer who came to this place in the 18th century: Bruno de Heceta.

Opposite the coast of the city of Santander in northern Spain, located on the rocky island of the same name, is the Mouro Lighthouse, contrasting the impressive waves of the Cantabrian Sea since 1860.

Located in what looks like a veritable corner of Paradise in the Portuguese town of Cascais, the Santa Marta Lighthouse is one of the most picturesque and romantic lighthouses in the world.

Decidedly more modern, but no less fascinating, the Enoshima Lighthouse is also known as "Sea Candle" or "Candle of the Sea," and from its upper terrace, a 360º panorama of the coastline and Sagami Bay can be seen.

On the island of Andros, within the Cyclades archipelago, this beautiful lighthouse is the only one of its kind in Europe to be built on solid rock. It was destroyed during World War II, but it was rebuilt as Greece's first fully-automated lighthouse.

This historic lighthouse is also the tallest in Oregon. Interestingly, it was made in Paris before being shipped Stateside. And adding to its international dimension is the fact that it doubled for a Japanese lighthouse in 'The Ring' (2oo2).
