Catherine, Princess of Wales, serves up at Wimbledon
On Saturday 13 July, Kensington Palace confirmed that the Princess would be attending the men's final of the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London. The game would see Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Serbia's Novak Djokovic meet.
The Princess is always faithful in this event due to her position as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club (AELTC). On this occasion, and given her evident positive recovery, she did not want to miss it.
Kate Middleton attended without her husband, Prince William, as today's European Football Championship final between Spain and England was also taking place in Berlin.
Princess Catherine's daughter, Charlotte, went with her, always keeping a close eye on her mother, who, of course, was beaming and radiant - smiling from ear to ear.
There was much anticipation about Kate Middleton's presence at the match and the standing ovation on her arrival was proof of that.
Joining the Princess of Wales and her daughter, Kate Middleton's sister Pippa Middleton, also attended. She is a regular on centre court at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.
For the occasion, the princess chose a purple midi-length dress with short sleeves and a draped detail. She accessorised the look with a hand pocket and nude-coloured pumps.
Kate Middleton is still in the middle of her recovery process so, until the last minute, no one knew if the princess would have the strength to face this engagement. Many are delighted to see her attend.
Since her cancer diagnosis was announced in a statement last March, the first time we saw the princess was at the last Trooping The Colour, which took place on 15 June 2024.
As she has already announced, her intention is to gradually return to public life as her illness and treatment allow. Now, she has once again shown that she is increasingly on the mend and is eager to return to public life. Undoubtedly, the best of news.
