Several media outlets, including TMZ and The Times, have reported that the cause of death was a Covid-19 infection. Radio producer Howard Stern even called on the singer's family to speak out about the dangers of non-vaccination, Rolling Stone reports.

Vachik Mangassarian

He was 78 years old and known for roles in 'NCIS,' Curb Your Enthusiasm' and 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' among other series. Actor Vachik Mangassarian died from the complications of a coronavirus infection on January 22, 2022, USA Today reports.

Frédéric Sinistra

The Belgian kickboxing champion Frédéric Sinistra was 40 years old when he passed on December 15, 2021. With several international titles to his name, he was called 'The Undertaker'. Sinistra died of lung problems that seemed to be strongly linked to the coronavirus - something he 'did not believe in.' according to Belgian news outlet VRT, and which he had not been vaccinated against either.

Mark Lanegan

Singer and songwriter Mark Lanegan played in bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and Screaming Trees. He died on February 22, 2022 at the age of 57. Although the cause of death has not been officially confirmed, Lanegan was seriously ill in late 2021 due to an infection with Covid-19.

Grichka en Igor Bogdanoff

French twin brothers Grichka and Igor Bogdanoff were known as science journalists and TV personalities who spoke out against Covid-19 vaccinations. On December 28, 2021, Grichka Bogdanoff died from what the twins' lawyer later confessed was a Covid-19 infection. Six days later, on January 3, 2022, Igor Bogdanoff also died of Covid-19. The brothers were 72 years old.

Carlos Marín

He was a singer in the international quartet Il Divo and passed away on December 19, 2021 at the age of 53. Carlos Marín was touring with the group in Britain when he got sick from Covid-19, Variety reports. He died in a Manchester hospital.

Jason Hitch

Jason Hitch became famous for his participation in the TLC series '90 Day Fiancé' in 2014. He passed away on December 14, 2021 from a coronavirus infection, his sister told TMZ. She added that he had been in good health but that he had not been vaccinated against the virus. The reality star was 45 years old.

Jay Jay Phillips

In November 2021, this rock musician passed away at the young age of 30 from Covid-19. Jay Jay Phillips had broken through in the United States when competing in 'America's Got Talent' in 2009. He returned to the show in 2012. On the basis of a family member's story, TMZ reports that the keyboard player had not been vaccinated and that he had gotten Covid-19 shortly before Thanksgiving. On November 25, he was found dead at his home.

Marc Pilcher

He had just won an Emmy award for his hairstyling in the Netflix costume drama 'Bridgerton,' when stylist Marc Pilcher passed away from the coronavirus on October 3, 2021. His agent Curtis Brown confirmed the cause of death to Variety. As Wonderwall reports, "Marc, 53, was double vaccinated and had no underlying health conditions."

Szilveszter Csollany

The Hungarian gymnast was a specialist in the rings and Olympic champion in 2000. He died on January 24, 2022 at the age of 51. The cause of death was determined as the consequence of a Covid-19 infection, media such as The Independent confirm.

Yoppa (Pavle Kostic)

Yoppa was a promising gamer in online role-playing games. The young Serbian was only 23 years old when he died of the coronavirus on November 24, 2021.

Colin Powell

The former U.S. Secretary of State died at the age of 84 due to complications from Covid-19. He also suffered from multiple myeloma - a form of blood cancer - and Parkinson's disease. Colin Powell died on October 18, 2021.

Marcus Birks

English rapper Marcus Birks had written to his fans on social media that he didn't need a vaccination. But when he became seriously ill from Covid-19 and ended up in hospital, he told his followers he regretted his decision. The 40-year-old artist died on August 27, 2021.

Kenny Malone

Kenny Malone played with country music stars like Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. The drummer passed away at age 83, having been diagnosed with Covid-19, his former bandmate Dave Pomeroy confirmed in the New York Times.

Sonny Chiba

He was known from legendary movies like 'The Street Fighter,' The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift' and 'Kill Bill.' Japanese actor and martial art specialist Shinichi 'Sonny' Chiba died on August 19, 2021 at the age of 82 from a Covid-19 infection. His agent confirmed the cause of death to Variety.

Phil Valentine

The conservative talk show host, who had been a vocal critic of the Covid-19 vaccine, was admitted to a hospital with symptoms of the coronavirus in July 2021. He passed away from Covid-19 complications on August 21. The news was announced by his radio station, SuperTalk 99.7 WTN.

Sanford Clark

Country legend Sanford Clark passed away at the age of 85 on July 4, 2021. He had been on cancer treatment in a Joplin, Missouri hospital, his publicist told Billboard, when he got Covid-19. The musician was known for songs like 'The Fool,' which both The Animals and Elvis Presley would cover.

John Davis

He was one of the real voices behind pop duo Milli Vanilli. John Davis (R) died on May 24, 2021 from complications of the coronavirus, as his daughter confirmed on his Facebook page. He was 66 years old.

Alber Elbaz

The Moroccan-born Israeli fashion designer Alber Elbaz styled celebrities such as Meryl Streep, Harry Styles and Beyoncé. On April 24, 2021, he died of Covid-19 in Paris, the New York Times reported. Elbaz was 59 years old.

Joe Long

Joseph Louis LaBracio, better known as Joe Long, bassist for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, died on April 21, 2021 from complications of Covid-19. He was 88 years old. The news was confirmed to NJ.com by Jersey Four tribute bandmember Anthony Newell and by Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio.

Tommy DeVito

Earlier in the pandemic, Joe Long's bandmate Tommy DeVito (L) had also passed away from the coronavirus. As confirmed by his friend, actor Alfredo Nittoli, on Facebook, the musician died on September 21, 2020. He was 92 years old.

Larry King, the legendary TV presenter who hosted more than 6,000 episodes of 'Larry King Live' on CNN, died on January 23, 2021 at the age of 87. A few weeks earlier, he had been diagnosed with Covid-19 and had been hospitalized, CNN reported, but the official cause of death was ultimately thought to have been an infection.

Phil Spector was a legendary music producer, but in the last years of his life he was best known as the convicted killer of actress Lana Clarkson. The 81-year-old Spector died a natural death in prison on January 16, 2021 after contracting Covid-19 a few weeks earlier.

Bruce Williams was a vocalist in the Temptations from 2006 through 2015. He died on September 6, 2020, at the age of 49 from complications of Covid-19, TMZ reported.

The cause of his death was a combination of Covid-19 and the complications of Lewy body dementia, his family confirmed to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
