Celebrities who have invested in cryptocurrencies

There are some who profess the religion of cryptocurrencies, and others who say they are just another fad of an investment product. However, investing in cryptocurrencies is something that some celebrities have decided to do. Yes, the amazing Katy Perry is on the list.

The billionaire bought $1.5 billion worth of bitcoins in February 2021. As reported by the BBC, he did so through Tesla and his move caused the cryptocurrency's value to rise by 17%, reaching a record price of $44,220 at the time. Obviously, nothing was coincidental. It was all part of a complex self-serving operation that ultimately sank the value of the cryptocurrency.

Millions of people, including international leaders, have bet on cryptocurrencies. Celebrities are no different from the rest of us when it comes to seeking substantial, quick, and risk-free profits. But this description of the crypto world is not exactly the case.

The wealthy heiress has long since become an avid investor. Paris Hilton has been involved in the smaller cryptocurrencies since 2017 when she noted her excitement about "participating in the Lydian Coin ICO." An ICO is the process of early sale of a cryptocurrency that is launched and initially distributed to a select few.

The Oscar-winning actress has not only been the face of the cryptocurrency payment startup 'Abra' but also launched an article on how to start investing for bitcoin beginners on her successful lifestyle site 'Goop'.

The British actor was into something else...  he experimented with Vicodin to understand his character's addiction in 'House'.  But in 2015, a friend suggested he invest in bitcoin and he did so with $5,000. He was successful - he avoided the scammers and took some good advice.

The singer was the first to accept bitcoin payments to buy her music in 2012. It was such a success that the former Spice Girl broke sales records. "I love how this new technology is making our lives easier," she said on Twitter.

The actor has a cryptocurrency investment firm called A-Grade and has always been a tremendous investor in bitcoins. In fact, before Donald Trump came to the White House, he tweeted that bitcoin was the best way to protect money from any economic measures he might take.

Audius was born with the idea of being a music service based on cryptocurrencies. In September 2021 Katy Perry and other musicians such as Jason Derulo, Steve Aoki, and The Chainsmokers participated in funding the platform.

Back in January 2018, she posted a photo of herself with her fingernails painted with the symbols of five cryptocurrencies: bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, stellar, and monero.

Not only is he co-founder of investment firm Thirty Five Ventures, but he was also one of the first to invest in Coinbase. Durántula is an avid investor in many fields.

The 'Game of Thrones' actress asked Twitter if she should buy BTC by the end of 2020. 53% voted no and, despite this, she tweeted again the next day: "Thanks for the advice. I bought some anyway". Arya Stark in action.

The Twitter co-founder used his own platform to assure his followers that he will do everything possible "to make bitcoin accessible to everyone."

The tennis player founded a venture capital firm in 2014: Serena Ventures. The company invested in several companies, including the California-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.

The boxer is a promoter of several ICOs (Stox, Centra, and Hubii Network). In addition, as is usual for him, he has had no qualms about bragging on Twitter about how he spent "Bitcoins, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies in Beverly Hills," back in 2017.

The actress used Twitter to confirm that she had made her first ethereum purchase, without specifying how much she invested. Knowing the actress's entrepreneurial adventures, we are sure that she has made a profit.

The billionaire producer was among the first to buy 500 BTC. With bitcoin at $27,000, those 500 cryptocurrencies would be worth $13.5 million.

In 2019, the Filipino boxer launched his own token: pac, which can be used to purchase items from his merchandising.

The rapper is the sauce in every salad. In 2013, he announced on Twitter that he would accept bitcoins to pay for his next album, which would also be "delivered by drones." The reality was different and he ended up not accepting cryptocurrency for payment. The rapper would later regret that decision and, from then onwards, he does accept bitcoins to pay for his albums.

The owner of the Dallas Mavericks is a staunch supporter of cryptocurrencies. In an interview for Real Vision Finance, he said that his investment portfolio is made up of "60% BTC and 30% ETH."

Sirin Labs, a company dedicated to the technology sector, has Messi as its ambassador and face of the company. The smartphone manufacturing company has a native app that gives direct access to ethereum trading.

Remember Pitbull? He was one of the pioneers in bitcoin investment back in 2012, as he revealed in an interview with CNBC. It went so well that in 2018 he launched his own cryptocurrency, 'Smackathon,' to make payments in the music sector.

The former boxer has been something of an ambassador for bitcoin around the world. In fact, in 2015 he launched a wallet called 'Bitcoin ATM System' in collaboration with the company Bitcoin Direct.
