It is quite rare to see snow in Paris. Before January 2024, Parisians hadn't walked through the snowy streets of their city since February 2021.

The Louvre

On January 18, Paris woke up to snow. A thin layer of flakes covered the streets of the French capital, enough to delight locals and tourists and offer us beautiful images.

Basilica of the Sacre Coeur

Montmartre, under its snowy coat, was imbued with charm and romance, as this photo of the Sacre-Cœur basilica illustrates.

Montmartre

Montmartre was the hill you had to go to for the best view of Paris under the snow. The highest point of the capital is located at an altitude of 130 meters.

Louise Michel Square

From the Butte Montmartre, we could notably admire the Louise Michel Square covered in snowflakes and, on the horizon, the snow-covered roofs of Paris.

Place du Tertre

It’s difficult to have a coffee on the terrace on a day like this!

Alexandre III Bridge

On one of the most famous bridges in Paris, the Pont Alexandre III, the sculptures covered in snow were all the more splendid.

Royal Palace

Let's go to the 2nd arrondissement of the city to admire the Sphérades, a work by Pol Bury, dressed in their fine white coats in the heart of the Palais Royal.

Place des Vosges

The famous Place des Vosges, where many artists lived, was also covered up. A poetic atmosphere.

Royal Palace Gardens

On this beautiful winter day, it is pleasant to walk in the garden of the Palais-Royal, but be careful not to slip!

Eiffel Tower

Of course, many people found themselves on the Champ de Mars to immortalize the Eiffel Tower in front of a carpet of snow.

Lille

Beyond Paris, the entire Île-de-France, Normandy, and the north of France found themselves under snow. In this photo, we can see the Porte de Paris, in Lille.
