The Caspian Sea!
Indeed, the Caspian Sea has long been considered a closed sea because its water is salty. But its lack of access to an ocean and the fact that its level is lower than that of the sea, have caused it to qualify as a lake. With 371,000 square kilometers, it's the largest in the world.
Which country has the most islands? Estimates vary from one source to another as it is difficult to measure an incredible number of islets, often very small and uninhabited.
Sweden!
According to Statista data cited by 'Sciencepost', the record is held by Sweden, with around 221,800 islands, followed by two other Scandinavian countries: Finland (188,000) and Norway (55,000).
Some countries like Indonesia or Japan are made up of huge archipelagos with many islands. However, one state consists mainly of the largest island in the world.
Australia!
Whether you consider it a continent on its own or a country, Australia is bordered completely by the ocean and measures 7,741,200 square kilometers.
