It has been six months since Kate Middleton announced she has been suffering from cancer and nine months since she was diagnosed. It has been a long, hard and complicated time for her and her family, but it seems this has come to an end.

Filmed announcement

An unforgettable summer (for good and bad)

"As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family," the statement begins.

An unknown path with a (so far) happy ending

"Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown," she continues.

'Complex and scary'

As Kate Middleton confirms, "the cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable". Fortunately, that journey, for the time being, seems to have come to an end.

There is still al long way to go

"Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus," the Princess states. "Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."

She wants to return but will do so ‘when she can’

However, the Princess of Wales is already looking to the horizon and sees options to ‘being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months’. She added that she will do so ‘when she can’ and thanked the millions of messages of support she has received over the last few months.

Carpe diem

The video and its content wants to give the world a powerful message: to value the day to day, the daily plans and the people around you who, in the end, are the ones who are with you in the most complicated moments.

A summer at Anmer Hall

The video shared by Kate Middleton takes a look back at the summer as it draws to a close, with walks in the countryside, family card games, outdoor picnics, games on the beach but, above all, a message of happiness and togetherness.

A family refuge

The footage was filmed at Anmer Hall family country house in Norfolk, owned by Charles III, which has become a favourite getaway spot for the whole family since the renovation was completed in 2015.

The author of the masterpiece

The author of this cinematographic work of art was Will Warr (on the left in the photo), as confirmed by several British media. He is a trusted cameraman of the family and responsible, among others, for immortalising the coronation of Charles III and the tenth wedding anniversary of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Her return to public life will be an event

Be that as it may, from now on, a new phase begins for Princess Catherine, as well as a figurative countdown to her reappearance at official events. A reappearance that millions of people are waiting for to celebrate her recovery with her.
