Obviously, the police have opened an investigation to clarify the facts and they already have several leads, as Joneé Lewis, spokesperson for the Tampa Police Department, told News Channel 8.

"What we have learned, and this is early in the investigation, two cars were shot at," he said. According to the local press, the cars of Julio Foolio and his friends were parked when a group of armed men approached them and began shooting at the vehicles.

The investigation continues, while Julio Foolio's songs, criticising how complicated and hard it is to live in Tampa, now make more sense than ever.

What doesn't seem to make sense is that the rapper would fall into the danger of revealing his whereabouts in real time. In fact, in October 2023, he had already been shot at in Jacksonville, where he was ambushed and shot in the foot, leaving him with several injuries.

At the time, Julio Foolio filed a lawsuit, claiming that a UF Health nurse had compromised his safety by revealing his whereabouts.

Two years earlier, also in Jacksonville, the rapper had also been attacked, although at that time he had a registered gun and was able to repel the assault. A year earlier, in 2020, he was again involved in a shooting in Houston, Texas.
