Kenneth Ma is a Hong Kong actor and is one of the most recognizable faces in the industry.

Kenneth Ma was born and raised in Hong Kong, although he moved to British Columbia, Canada, with his family in 1992. Despite being born in Hong Kong and raised for a time there, Kenneth Ma has Canadian citizenship.

Kenneth Ma has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia. Upon graduation, he and his family returned to Hong Kong.

Kenneth Ma’s return to Hong Kong did not immediately start with him going into the acting industry. He initially worked at a glass manufacturing company but left after finding the job too boring.

After sending hundreds of resumes out to companies, TVB was one of the only ones to reply and invite Ma to their 14th Artist Training class. There, he began his journey as an actor.

Since joining TVB and becoming an actor, Kenneth Ma has gained fame for his work in 'Big White Duel,' 'The Hippocratic Crush,' and 'The Exorcist’s Meter,' among many others.

Acting was indeed perfect for Kenneth Ma and he would go on to win several awards for his talent and skill! Since 2005, Kenneth Ma has won over 10 TVB acting awards in Hong Kong and beyond the straits in Malaysia and even Singapore!

Born on May 6, 1987, Roxanne Tong is the daughter of Hong Kong actor Tong Chun Chung and niece of Kent Tong, also known as one of the 'Five Tiger Generals' of TVB.

With such strong connections in the Hong Kong entertainment world, it is interesting to see that Roxanne Tong didn’t go the 'nepo baby' route and jump into acting immediately!

Instead of acting, Roxanne Tong started out modeling and competing in beauty pageants. It was only after competing in Miss Hong Kong 2012 and winning several awards and being in the top 6 that she decided to try out acting at TVB.

Roxanne Tong and Kenneth Ma started seeing each other in the aftermath of Hong Kong’s biggest entertainment love scandal in 2019, where Kenneth Ma's ex, Jacqueline Wong, was caught locking lips with one of Hong Kong’s biggest actors, Andy Hui – who also happens to be the husband of pop diva Sammi Cheung.

After being caught cheating on Kenneth Ma, especially with such a prominent figure, Jacqueline Wong’s relationship with him deteriorated along with the other friendships she made. She was swiftly blacklisted from the Hong Kong entertainment industry after.

In a surprising twist of fate, one major role that Jacqueline Wong was acting in went to her now ex-friend, Roxanne Tong. The Straits Times reported that Roxanne Tong replaced Jacqueline Wong for her part in 'Forensic Heroes IV' by order of TVB executives.

Little did anyone expect that Roxanne Tong would also end up dating Kenneth Ma after this fiasco! Although the two got closer under unexpected circumstances, it turned out for the best.

What a fateful meeting it was for Kenneth Ma and Roxanne Tong, as the two just got married in December 2023. HK01 reports that the couple held their wedding in Koh Samui, Thailand, with family members and friends in attendance.

As of December 2023, all parties involved in the 2019 scandal were partnered up and had moved on, including Jacqueline Wong, who had also gotten married in October. Perhaps this marks a new beginning for everyone, and we wish them all the best!
