Matthew Perry's doctor, just one of many found guilty of his death

As the date of Matthew Perry's death approaches its one-year mark, the news surrounding his passing continues to be murky, worrying, and very hard for his fans.

As TMZ reported in early October, the actor's doctor, Mark Chavez, has admitted his guilt in the death of Matthew Perry.

The defendant acknowledged before the Los Angeles District Court that the charges against him for the illegal distribution of substances were legitimate.

Mark Chavez now faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, as his actions indirectly caused the death of Matthew Perry.

Mark Chavez was the first to be found guilty, but he will not be the last. The trial is expected to last until spring 2025.

At the moment, Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha, reportedly in charge of supplying substances in this plot, have also been arrested.

The former could face the same sentence as Chavez. However, Sangha may be up for a higher sentence, as she is considered the head of the trafficking network that supplied the substances to Matthew Perry.

Meanwhile, the actor's assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, whose testimony has been fundamental in the trial, was also found guilty. According to the court, he was the intermediary between the actor and the accused. Moreover, he was the one who injected Matthew Perry with the final dose.

And there's more... Actor Eric Fleming has also been found guilty by the judge of having introduced Matthew Perry to the world of illegal substances in the first place.

From the very beginning, the Los Angeles Police Department made it clear that there was much more behind Matthew Perry's death, and time has proven them right. Now it is up to Justice to do its job.
