Like mother, like daughters. Lori Loughlin's daughters have inherited the beauty that charmed global audiences in the late '80s and early '90s. But they also became famous for their ambitious parents trying to help them out past the point of criminality. Here’s their story.

Uncle Jesse’s wife on ‘Full House’

In case you didn't know: Lori Loughlin rose to fame playing Rebecca ‘Becky’ Donaldson-Katsopolis on the TV series ‘Full House.’ She was the wife of the hunky uncle Jesse, played by John Stamos.

These are her daughters: Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade. They form part of her real life ‘Full House’ with her husband American fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli.

Tight-knit trio

The two sisters are close in age and get along famously, just like they do with their celebrity mom.

Their "guiding force"

"I'd like to think I'm somewhat their friend, but more importantly, I'm their mother and a guiding force," Lori Loughlin told People in 2015. Maybe she was guiding a little too hard?

Getting to know Isabella and Olivia

So, what else do we know about Isabella Rose Giannulli and Olivia Jade Giannulli?

Isabella Rose Giannulli was born in 1998

Isabella Rose Giannulli, known as Bella to friends, is the older of the Giannulli Loughlin sisters, born in 1998. She had a pretty typical upbringing, not fully grasping her mother's fame, at least in her younger years.

She spent part of her childhood oblivious to her mom's fame

"I sometimes forget she's famous," Isabella said in a 2016 interview with Teen Vogue. "It's odd to see her on the TV screen and then turn around and see her cooking dinner."

Following in her mom's acting footsteps

Bella once had a fashion blog and later tried to follow in her mother's acting footsteps. She made her debut alongside Loughlin in the 2016 TV movie 'Every Christmas Has a Story.' She was also seen in 2018's 'Homegrown Christmas.'

Meet Olivia Jade Giannulli

Olivia Jade, the younger sister, has also made a splash on social media, emerging as a star with millions of followers. But there's more to this story…

She danced on ‘Dancing with the Stars'

She appeared on the dance show 'Dancing with the Stars,' paired with professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy, where she finished in eighth place.

Her high-profile romances

On the romantic front, her relationships have garnered some media attention. She's known to have dated American singer Jackson Guthy, with the relationship ending in August 2021. And from December of that year, she's been linked to the ‘Euphoria’ actor Jacob Elordi.

The University of Southern California scandal

But unfortunately, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's daughters didn’t quite have a normal nepo-baby upbringing. Instead, they faced a highly unpleasant chapter in 2019 due to their controversial admissions to the University of Southern California (USC).

From ‘Full House’ to the big house

In 2019, both of their parents ended up in prison! That’s quite a shift. Here’s a refresher on the admissions scandal.

They paid to ensure their daughters' university admission

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, along with other high-profile individuals like actress Felicity Huffman, were accused of conspiring to secure their daughters a spot at the University of Southern California (USC).

The scheme? Getting them into college as rowers

The couple was alleged to have paid $500,000 in bribes to have their daughters accepted into the college as if they were on the rowing team, even though neither girl had participated in sport. When the news broke, Olivia was on a yacht in the Bahamas that belonged to a member of the college board (his daughter was her friend).

Two months in prison, $150,000 fine

Their parents ended up behind bars for a couple of months, fined $150,000 and the sisters faced all sorts of harassment and ridicule for behavior they had considered entirely normal.

Living in a bubble

In 2020, Olivia told 'Red Table Talk’ that she initially didn’t know what all the fuss was about. “I remember thinking, ‘How are people mad about this?’” she said. “Like, I know that sounds so silly, but in the bubble that I grew up in, I didn’t know so much outside of it, and a lot of kids in that bubble, their parents were donating to schools and doing stuff

She eventually realized her privilege

But Olivia later acknowledged that she had been benefiting from enormous privilege, so much that she had said in a Youtube video that she didn’t care about school and was just going to college for “game days, partying.” Looking back, she said it makes her cringe to hear her saying that.

A bright future ahead

Now, this episode is part of their past, and both have a promising future ahead. While they kept a low-profile for a while, the girls are now back on social media. Bella launched a podcast called ‘The Nail Polish Sisters’ in 2022. Olivia got back to Youtube and appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in 2021.

The girls still love their mom

Despite everything, the three are still tight. "You are the sweetest soul I know. You are loved by every single person in your life. The very best mom, friend, sister, daughter, partner,” Olivia wrote on her mom’s 59th birthday. “I love you more than the whole wide world,” wrote Bella.
