Stacey Williams speaks out

Stacey Williams, a 56-year-old former model, claimed she was groped by Donald Trump in 1993 after being introduced to him by Jeffrey Epstein. Williams revealed the allegation during a Zoom call organized by a Kamala Harris support group called Survivors4Harris, The Guardian reports.

Dating Epstein, meeting Trump

Williams said the incident occurred at Trump Tower in late 1992 or early 1993. The former model said she and Epstein dated for a while and that during one of their dates, he suggested she visit Trump.

'Epstein and Trump were close'

"It became very clear then that he and Donald were really, really good friends and spent a lot of time together," she said. Once she was with Trump, he greeted her and began to touch her inappropriately.

Felt powerless in company of Trump and Epstein

Williams said Epstein and Trump seemed to be good friends and that her interaction with them seemed like a "twisted game." Their behavior, coupled with the smiles they shared during the incident, made her feel deeply uncomfortable.

Humiliated

After the alleged groping, Williams said Epstein changed his demeanor, becoming cold and distant. As he left Trump Tower, he berated her for allowing Trump to touch her. It left the model confused and humiliated, she recalled in the video meeting reported by The Guardian.

Donald Trump's reaction

According to People magazine, a Trump spokesperson categorically denied Williams' allegations, calling them "unequivocally false." They claimed that Williams' allegations were politically motivated, given that they were revealed shortly before the election.

'Politically motivated'

"These accusations, made by a former activist for Barack Obama and announced on a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election, are unequivocally false," a statement from Trump's team read.

A postcard from Mar-a-Lago

However, Williams did not just have spoken words to support her allegation. She said that months after the incident, she received a postcard from Trump with an aerial photo of Mar-a-Lago.

'Love, Donald'

He wrote on the card: "Stacey - Your home away from home. Love, Donald." Williams showed the card to the people on the Zoom call in which she made her allegations, The Guardian reports.

Shame and confusion

Williams described feeling a mix of shame and confusion after the incident. She said that after parting ways with Epstein, she began to feel like the event was staged and that she had been treated like an object.

Williams' silence for years

Williams said she decided to keep the allegation to herself for years, despite other women accusing Trump of similar behavior, because she feared harassment and negative publicity. The former model is a mother and has wanted to spare her family from the media attention and shame.

Trump's pattern of behavior

According to The Guardian, the incident as Williams describes it reflects a pattern of behavior similar to that experienced by other women.

Inappropriate touching at public events

They, too, have accused Trump of harassment, including unwanted touching and inappropriate behavior at public events.

Williams thought she was the only one

Williams explained that she was not aware that this had happened to other women until their allegations became public.

Epstein and Trump

Although no evidence has been found that Trump was involved in Epstein's crimes, the two men shared a friendship during the 1990s. Trump states he knew Epstein but that their relationship deteriorated in the 2000s.

Information disclosed bit by bit

Since the persecuted serial offender took his own life in his prison cell in 2019, information about Epstein's victims and the circle of (famous) people involved in, or tangentially related to, his crimes, has slowly but yet incompletely become public.
