The 10 best national cuisines in the world
TasteAtlas is a gastronomic travel guide that collects recipes for authentic dishes and reviews by gastronomic experts. Its aim is to lead its users toward a unique culinary experience. It made a ranking of the 10 best national cuisines in the world, as voted by the users of the famous guide. They took into account various factors, such as specific ingredients and typical dishes of each country.
Tenth in the ranking of cuisines in the world we find Peruvian food. The most popular dishes are tiger milk (leche de tigre), cocona (a fruit of the citrus family), and ceviche.

TasteAtlas recommends the following restaurants for people visiting the South American country. To enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime Peruvian culinary experience, the suggested restaurants are all in Greater Lima: Isolina Taberna Peruana (Barranco), Astrid y Gaston (San Isidro), and La Mar Cebichería (Miraflores).

While it usually has an excellent reputation in popular culture, French cuisine only makes it to the ninth position in the standings. It's not chain restaurants like McDonald's or Kentucky Fried Chicken that bring the US to its eighth place in the ranking of the best cuisines in the world, but rather the spectacular foods like Honeycrisp apples, wild Alaskan salmon, Florida oranges, and the Texas Brisket Sandwich.

Among the best American restaurants in the travel guide are the Commander's Palace (New Orleans), St. Elmo Steak House (Indianapolis), Russ & Daughters (Manhattan), and La Taqueria (San Francisco).
The seventh position is for Turkish cuisine. TasteAtlas users were fascinated by Kaymak (a kind of cream), Afyon sausage, Aydın fig, Cağ Kebab, and honey cream.

These are the top-rated restaurants for Turkish delicacies: Asci Bacaksiz (Afyonkarahisar), Karaköy Güllüoğlu (Beyoğlu), Hafız Mustafa (Fatih), Özcan Turşuları (Kadıköy), and Beyti (Bakırköy).

Among the best cuisines in the world, according to TasteAtlas users, we find Mexican cuisine in sixth place. Favorite dishes and foods are Vanilla Chinantla, Oaxacan cheese, Cajeta (dulce de leche, a type of dessert), Carnitas (meat dish), and Chilaquiles (an appetizer)

These are the restaurants most acclaimed by the public where you can fully enjoy the best Mexican culinary experience while visiting the country: El Mural de los Poblanos (Puebla de Zaragoza), Casa Valadez (Guanajuato), Caesar's (Tijuana), and La Hacienda de Los Morales (Mexico City).

Indian cuisine makes the fifth position, thanks to - among others - these dishes and ingredients: Garam Masala (spices), Ghee (clarified butter), Malai (a type of cream), Garlic Naan (typical Indian bread), and Keema (flat beef based).

Japan is fourth on this list, and that's understandable, given its foods like Ikura (salmon roe), Kobe beef, Ramen, and Karaage (a type of fry).

The best Japanese restaurants according to TasteAtlas users are Sushi Ya (Chūō), Sushi Rakumi (Kyoto), Nishiazabu Taku (Minato), and Sushi Miyakawa (Sapporo).

Spain and its typical products win the bronze medal, thus reaching the third position. Among the dishes and foods most loved by the public of TasteAtlas, we have Jamon Iberico de bellota, Manchego cheese, Espetos (a typical dish of Malaga based on sardines), and grilled shrimp.

The best national cuisine according to TasteAtlas is... Italian! And let's face it, who doesn't love Italian food? The typical dishes and ingredients that have earned the Mediterranean country its first position are Parmigiano Reggiano, Tuscan Ham, Nduja, Risotto with porcini mushrooms, and Pesto alla Genovese.
In Italy, these are among the best Italian cuisine establishments voted by the TasteAtlas audience: Osteria Madonnetta (Marostica), Amerigo dal 1934 (Savigno), Lokanda Devetak 1870 (San Michele del Carso), Trattoria Trippa (Milan), and the Madonna Delle Nevi Restaurant (Cessole).
