Whether they were awkward, shocking or very well prepared, certain moments from Australian reality TV shows we will never forget.

The 'Magikarp Guy' went viral in 2016 after an audience member was caught on camera reacting to an 'Australia's Got Talent' contestant performing a magic trick.

Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins shocked audiences in 2018's 'The Bachelor' when he walked away single after refusing to pick a winner.

In 2018’s controversial season of 'Married At First Sight Australia', the playful attraction between Dean and Davina developed into a full-blown affair despite them both being ‘married’ to other contestants. To make matters worse Dean also took to badmouthing his 'wife' Tracy.

In 2003 Shannon Noll was favourite to win the first season of 'Australian Idol', but in the end came second to Guy Sebastian.

Favourite Justin Schofield a shock elimination going into finals week on the first season of 'MasterChef Australia'. Julie Goodwin ultimately took out the top prize.

15 years after famously being the runner-up on Australian Idol, Shannon Noll headed into the African jungle to compete in 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'. As fate would have it, he was runner-up yet again this time coming second to comedian Fiona O'Laughlin.

Bachelor Blake Garvey proposed to winner Sam Frost in the season finale of 'The Bachelor' 2014. He then called if off and dumped her less than a day after the final episode aired.

The nation was mortified when 'The Bachelor' winner Sam Frost was unceremoniously dumped after the 2014 season ended.  She got her own back though, becoming 'The Bachelorette' the following year.

'Australia's Next Top Model' host Sarah Murdoch made headlines when she announced the winner of the 2010 series - and read out the name of the wrong contestant. She was corrected by producers a couple of seconds later but the damage had already been done.

'Big Brother Australia' housemate Merlin Luck used his 2004 eviction as an opportunity to protest the government's treatment of refugees.

'My Kitchen Rules' 2012 season villains Peter and Gary are best remembered for their mashed potato meltdown - "How hard can mashed potato be?".

Best forgotten but sadly forever imprinted in the minds of the nation was Mark Holden's creepy clown-themed appearance on 'Dancing With The Stars' in 2014.

Supermodel David Genat was blindsided by his eviction from 'Australian Survivor' in 2019 following a coordinated effort by actress Pia Miranda. Pia famously went on to win the series.

There was much excitement in the lead up to 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' in 2018 following the announcement that rival boxing legends Danny Green and Anthony Mundine would both be heading into the jungle. The anticipation was short-lived, with Mundine pulling the pin and withdrawing from the show less than two weeks into filming.

Monique and Dani were a shock withdrawal from 'The Block' in 2004 and were replaced by then-unknown Dr Andrew Roachford and his now-wife Jamie,  who went on to win the series.

Cat fights are a staple on 'Married At First Sight Australia', but perhaps one of our favourite moments was watching Martha coolly and calmly pour her wine onto a seething Cyrell.

While she might have been series runner-up, drag queen Courtney Act truly stole the show on 'Dancing with The Stars' in 2019. In her semifinal tango, she made DWTS history by dancing out of drag.

In 2019 'Married at First Sight' contestant Matthew Bennett went into the series as 'Matt the Virgin'. Needless to say, he emerged from the series as 'Matt the ex-virgin'.

There was a public outcry when 'Australian Idol' judge Ian suggested contestant Paulini Curuenavuli 'lose a few pounds' during the show's first season.

'The Block' contestants Jesse and Mel were accused of cheating by rival contestants Mark and Mitch for allegedly copying designs from a St Kida development.

Contestant Nicole Cleave shocked 'MasterChef Australia' audiences when she blew her elimination round spectacularly by using all her key ingredient in the first course of a three-course challenge.

'My Kitchen Rules' 2017 was rocked by a scandal involving Alyse and Matt's use of store-bought curry paste.

There’s nothing we enjoyed more during 'The Bachelorette' in 2018 than arguing about whether Jarrod’s heartfelt pursuit of Sophie Monk was cute or creepy.

One of the biggest controversies during the first season of 'Big Brother Australia' was the 'dancing doona' episode. Named for when amorous housemates Pete and Christina were caught having some fun under a doona that was moving in a very suggestive manner!
