All the greatest superhero TV series to binge-watch
Moon Knight's biggest appeal is, of course, Oscar Isaac, who is mesmerizing to watch in this new series as he battles with a multi-personality disorder. Taking Marvel down the 'weird' side, the story follows the character into a deadly mystery involving Egyptian gods. It is refreshing and bizarre, and it can be streamed on Disney+.
Marvel put a Christmas theme around this new Superhero series. Hailee Steinfeld plays Kate Bishop, the Hawkeye-obsessed young woman who inherits Clint Barton’s bow. Of course, Jeremy Renner returns as the MCU’s resident archer. It's easy to binge with just six episodes in its first season.
Marvel's 'What If...?' is an animated series exploring the possibilities of alternate universes and playing out the Marvel classic stories with a twist. What if something happened during the Captain America experiment and somebody took his place? The wonderful thing about this concept is that the possibilities are endless... You can watch it on the streaming service Disney+. Produced by Marvel Studios, based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name, this is the studio's first animated series.
Marvel Studios has completely intrigued us with this surreal account of the only real relationship that blossomed in the Avengers group films. Did Vision die or was that our imagination? This series introduced Marvel’s multiverse and alternative realities, so is a must-see. It was also filmed in front of a studio audience, giving this quirky concept a different, vintage dimension. Available to us to stream on Disney+, this extraordinary, retro superhero series is fascinating to watch develop. The world is still unsure if there will be a second series.
The CW stroke again with a new series about our most loved superhero and his sweetheart, Lois Lane. Never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, Superman and Lois try to raise their two children in today’s society where the day to day challenges for us mortals could prove one of the most formidable tests for Superman ever. Do the boys have the same Kryptonian super powers?
Another Disney+/Marvel Studios epic the world was actively anticipating. And it didn't disappoint. Tom Hiddleston was back in the title role who travels through time, leading him into his own time trap. Hiddleston had a large input into the series, having played Loki on many occasions and revealing things about the character we were simply dying to know. The series is available to stream now on Disney+ and, if you've seen it, it's well worth a second watch.
The CW renewed this engaging series for a third season, much to fans’ relief. However, all isn’t what we expected with the lead character completely changed and the story exchanged for a brand new one. Kate’s exit shocked all and her suit was found by a homeless girl named Ryan Wilder. Will this new Batwoman be up to the task or will she dive into the shadows? It was the final season, giving us three to binge at once.
Marvel Studios and Disney+ brought us this exciting new pairing. Sam Wilson, who was passed Captain America’s shield at the end of 'Avengers: Endgame', and Bucky, the well-known winter soldier, are back testing each other’s patience. They are gauging the scope of their abilities as they fight evil anarchist group, the Flag-Smashers. We are also over the moon to see actor Daniel Bruhl return to his MCU role, Baron Helmut Zemo. Shifting the focus onto these two characters, MCU have given a different perspective on the pair as we discover their sufferings and challenges, especially as Steve Rogers isn’t there to guide them anymore. It’s funny, action-filled and quite frankly, awesome. Streaming exclusively with Disney+.
Got some time on your hands? Eight seasons of 'The Flash' delivers on all levels. Many will be thrilled to know season 9 is on its way and has already started filming. It is expected to air in Spring 2023, giving us plenty of time to catch up on all the previous seasons before then.
Already announced as the last of the Black Lightning chapters, season 4 wraps up the incredible journey we have witnessed in this corner of the Arrowverse. All is not lost as the CW network has announced a new spinoff series entitled Painkiller with the lead portrayed by the same actor, Jordan Calloway. The 13 episodes are available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video now.
Just as the fourth season is released, we all have time to revisit the first three seasons of this fabulous TV show. The season 3 storyline certainly did not disappoint while the ongoing season 4 is simply nail-biting. Superheroes mixed with cult members: it seems a deadly mix...

It came as a shock to many to hear that the show was pulled after a wonderful 7 seasons. This series has never been short of action and the final seasons were no different, creating a climatic, extraterrestrial dynamic added to the plot. Of course, aliens are not all the show is about - expect to see some romance, villains, and, of course, danger. This is DC at its most creative.
Another end to a long-running DC series after 6 seasons. But, don't fret - that gives us 126 episodes of this addictive TV show. Will Kara finally have a budding romance? Will Lex Luther be defeated once and for all? You can binge this series on Netflix.
After the critically acclaimed first season of 'Stargirl,' the fans were left wanting more as it ended with a dramatic cliffhanger. Courtney Whitmore and her rallied friends were back for a second season, then a third and, despite defeating many of the villains in the first season, they still have other enemies to defeat. Sadly, however, the third season has been announced as its last.
Doom Patrol is weird, wacky and pretty much offers it all. It is definitely a full-on third season so well worth the binge. The fourth season premiers on December 8, 2022 so perfect to keep that momentum up.
If you haven't yet watched this dark series you, quite simply, must. The show was prematurely canceled by the CW as they focused on other DC series and was then resurrected by Netflix. Tom Ellis is simply brilliant in the title role mixing together the powers of Satan and a terrible control over his emotions. It’s a cocktail of nail-biting ingredients which sadly concluded after its six seasons.
We love the concept and story of this Pakistani-American girl from New Jersey who writes superhero fiction and develops shape-shifting powers the more she writes. A 16-year-old called Khamala Khan - AKA Ms Marvel - is a good student but struggles to fit in; until she has superpowers of course. Ms Marvel is around to stay as she is already written in to feature in the upcoming 'The Marvels' film, a sequel to 'Captain Marvel'. Filled with intrigue? We are, too.
Amazon has delivered part three of this nail-biting story. The series constantly leaves its viewers nervous and in suspense with its ingenious storyline - not to mention the cinematography is quite simply remarkable on all levels. We want more of this incredible series and, of course, season four is already in production.
The graphic novel series that has won the World Fantasy Award for short fiction and the Bram Stoker Award has given us one season to binge-watch on Netflix so far. The main character, Dream, AKA Morpheus (the dream of the endless), is an ancient being with evil siblings who have existed since the beginning of time. Tony-nominated actor Tom Sturridge (Orphans, Sea Wall/A Life) plays Dream and he is magnificent in the role. Could this be the biggest dysfunctional family in a superhero series? Could Death be the kindest of them all? Realizing he cannot control everything, Dream has to realize that everything must change, including himself. Season two is in the pipeline.
