Why Megan Fox and MGK, expecting parents, called it quits
The controversial couple of Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly is officially history. Entertainment portal TMZ brought the exclusive news. The timing is unfortunate, as the couple has been expecting their first child together.
The couple have been separated since Thanksgiving weekend. MGK and Fox allegedly spent that weekend in Vail, Colorado, a popular American ski area.
According to TMZ, the couple broke up because Fox found footage on the rapper's phone that upset her. After the incident, the singer left the trip earlier than planned and the two have not seen each other since.
On November 11, just a few weeks before the breakup, the actress had announced via Instagram that she and the singer were expecting a baby together.
In her post, Fox shared a photo of herself hugging her baby bump while covered in black liquid.
The actress also shared a positive pregnancy test. "Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back," her post read. According to TMZ, the baby is due in March 2025.
Fox added Kelly's song 'Last November' to her post. He wrote that song in response to a miscarriage the actress suffered while they were trying to have their first child together.
In November 2023, the actress shared her experience about the miscarriage she and Kelly had suffered.
Within her collection of poems, 'Pretty Boys Are Poisonous', Megan Fox had dedicated a poem to the daughter she lost at around 10 weeks of gestation, People magazine reports.
Fox explained that it was a pain neither of the two artists had ever experienced. "I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us," she explained on 'Good Morning America'.
The miscarriage "sent us on a very wild journey, together and separately," she continued. "Trying to navigate, 'What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?'"
During the second pregnancy, in 2024, the couple kept the news under wraps until Fox felt ready to share it, a source told People magazine.
"Megan felt nervous early on in the pregnancy but feels more relaxed now. She's trying to enjoy it. She loves being pregnant."
Colson Baker - the rapper's real name - and Megan Fox met when the actress appeared in the singer's music video for 'Bloody Valentine' in 2020. They went public with their relationship in May of that year, and in January 2022, they announced their engagement via Instagram.
A year later, after the 2023 Grammys, the couple had a falling out that led to Fox not speaking to the rapper anymore. In March of that year, the actress went to the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty without Kelly and without an engagement ring.
Strikingly, the couple reconciled two months later. By Thanksgiving 2024, however, they ended their relationship again. It is uncertain what the future will bring for the troubled celebrity couple.
