A feast of cinema in Great Britain

The British Academy Film Awards, or BAFTAs, were handed to the biggest stars in cinema on February 16, 2025. While the Prince and Princess of Wales were unusually absent from the gala due to scheduling conflicts, the evening was as entertaining and special as ever. In the picture, we see one of the winners, Zoe Saldaña.

Some expected winners, some surprises...

While some big favorites ended up winning a BAFTA as well as many other awards this season, there were also some surprising exceptions. Demi Moore broke her winning streak for her leading role in the horror film 'The Substance.' The award for Best Actress went to another, younger star. In addition, the BAFTA's choice for Best Picture was different from what we've seen in other galas so far.
