Hilarious revelations of Jennifer Lawrence
While many celebrities work hard to hide their private lives or keep their controversial opinions under wraps, Jennifer Lawrence has stood out from the start for her candidness and tendency to drop unexpected truths... whether she’s asked or not. Here are some of her most talked-about confessions.
During an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,' Jennifer was asked how much she understood the movie 'Mother!' on a scale of 1 to 10. Her cheeky reply: "Well, I was sleeping with the director, so I had CliffsNotes. So … 5? Or a 4. But if anybody needs any tips on understanding their films, you know what to do!" Cohen, surprised, asked, "Eff the director?" To which she enthusiastically replied, "Yeah!"
"I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk. I thought, Why is 'cakewalk' stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, 'Kick, walk, kick, walk.' You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell," she told W.
During an interview, Jennifer admitted that peeing in sinks became a habit while going out with friends. "I’ve peed in some sinks. When two girls go into a bathroom, someone’s gotta take the sink. I actually like taking a sink. One could wait, but if the one waiting is me, she’s going to the sink," said Lawrence, according to The Mirror.
Speaking with People, the actress explained that her mom once sold a toilet she broke on Craigslist. The buyer ended up being Lee Eisenberg, who wrote 'No Hard Feelings.'
On Jimmy Fallon, Lawrence explained that one of her top embarrassing moments was mistaking a woman at an Oscar-related party for Elizabeth Taylor... even though the older actress had already died. She said she was so excited that she grabbed a friend and said: "This is Elizabeth Taylor!" to which the woman replied: "No it's not!"
At a restaurant in Paris, she saw director Francis Ford Coppola who she went up to and introduced herself. She met the whole table, but then when she returned to her own table, she realized the zipper of her dress had fully unzipped and her undergarments were totally exposed, she also told Falon.
"I actually get comforted when I feel like there might be a burglar in my house, like: 'There’s a real person that might be breaking into my house, it's not a ghost, that's a relief,'" she said in an interview with U.K. magazine Fabulous.
Although Hollywood is known for its liberal values, the actress told Heather McMahan on Dear Media's 'Absolutely Not' podcast that she "grew up Republican," and her first vote was for John McCain over Barack Obama. However, she went on to say that she has no love for Donald Trump.
In an interview with MTV, Lawrence said she almost never washes her hands after going to the bathroom. But her comments went viral, and for once, she backtracked. "Of course, I wash my hands after going to the bathroom! (I can’t believe I've put myself in a situation where I even have to say that.) Anyway with all the rumors I've ever heard about myself, this is the one I really had to put to rest.”
"You can only S** your pants so many times a day before you have to go to the emergency room," she said on 'Letterman.'
Lawrence is a big fan of the reality show and said she left it running on a loop in her trailer while filming the movie 'Mother!' During breaks she would stare at the screen to unwind from the intense acting.
In an interview with Seth Meyers, Jennifer revealed that she once threw up at an Oscars party hosted by Madonna after drinking too much. Her best friend Laura was with her, who she said was a terrible influence. She said that after puking on the porch, she looked behind her and Miley Cyrus was there "like get it together."
"I wanted to do indies, and I wanted to do good films, but I didn't want to be the most famous person on the planet," she told Hollywood Reporter, revealing she almost didn't do 'Hunger Games' because she was worried it would take her to an unhealthy level of fame.
On Stephen Colbert, she explained how she lost her Kentucky accent when she was a teenager. Now, she said, her boyfriends tell her it only comes back when she is yelling. She has also heard that she gets more twang when she starts drinking.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Lawrence explained that she has an alter ego she calls Gail. It appears when she indulges a bit much in the drink while on holiday. Gail is a bit manly and is prone to jumping into shark-infested waters or swallowing worms to make her friends laugh.
