Juice Seyeon: the BJ and Netflix 'Influencer' star caught with HYBE's co-founder
Juice Seyeon has been in the news just for her scandalised appearance with the co-founder of HYBE (who produces BTS), Bang Si-hyuk back in August. This is bringing much attention to her as she also happens to be a reality TV star of the Netflix show, ‘The Influencer’. Who is she, and what is her relation to one of South Korea’s most powerful men?

Juice Seyeon, also known as In Se-yeon, is a South Korean broadcast jockey and influencer.
Juice Seyeon was born on November 9, 2000, making her 23 years old this year. She was born in Seoul, South Korea.
Not much is known about Juice Seyeon’s life before starting her career as a broadcast jockey (BJ) with Afreeca TV. Namu reports that she started broadcast jockeying on June 9, 2019, and has quickly gained quite a following since.
In her five years as a broadcast jockey, Juice Seyeon has quickly become one of South Korea’s top BJs, and has won the top BJ awards for AfreecaTV for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023, reports Insight.
Even as the country’s most popular BJ, Juice Seyon’s fame reached new heights when she was cast as a contestant in Netflix’s ‘The Influencer’ in August 2024, reports NME. Although pitted against 76 other contestants, she managed to stand out in her own right.
Juice Seyon then went viral in the same month, when she was exposed to have been hanging out with HYBE’s co-founder, Bang Si-hyuk, in Los Angeles, USA. Her appearance with him, along with another unidentified woman was heavily scrutinised, with many speculating on her relation to him, reports theqoo.
Allkpop reports that both Juice Seyeon and Bang Si-hyuk had provided conflicting accounts of their relationship. While Bang Si-hyuk claims he met the BJ by chance, Juice Seyon claims the meeting was planned ahead of time.
Juice Seyeon was known for creating more scandalous content, such as provocative dances on AfreecaTV. Koreaboo reports that given how BJs are known for having large sponsors, many have theorised that the Juice Seyeon’s top sponsor was actually Bang Si-hyuk himself.
Bang Si-hyuk’s meeting with Juice Seyeon was one that led to consequences for his company as Korea JoongAng Daily reports that it led to a drop in HYBE’s share price. This is just another issue for the company, on top of their existing lawsuit with former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
