Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend shares the message he sent her days before his death

Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer revealed the last message she received from the singer before his tragic death on October 16, 2024. In an emotional post on Instagram, she expressed her grief at the loss of the singer with whom she was in a relationship between 2010 and 2012.

Peazer said Payne sent her a message shortly before he died, expressing his happiness at the new family life she had formed with her partner Sonny Jay and their daughter Mia. "Receiving a message from you a couple of weeks ago expressing your happiness for the love I found with Sonny and Mia is something I'll cherish forever," she said, according to People magazine.

Peazer said one of the aspects of Payne's life that made him most proud was his role as father to Bear, the son he had with Cheryl Cole. The model said it was heartbreaking to think that his son would grow up without him. "To Liam's son Bear, as well as his parents and sisters; my love, thoughts and strength goes to you. The magnitude of this loss is incomprehensible and I will continue to support you in any way I am able to," she said in the post.

In her lengthy message, Peazer acknowledged Payne's mental hardships and struggles over the years. While she was aware of his problems, she said she had prayed that a fateful day would never come.

Peazer and Payne's relationship ended in 2012, but she revealed that their bond remained strong over the years. According to the DailyMail, they always supported each other in difficult times, despite their differences.

Peazer also shared in her tribute that Liam taught her the importance of setting boundaries, a lesson she will always carry with her. "Thank you for teaching me about the importance of setting boundaries, and that I should always protect my heart," she stated.

Peazer's tribute concludes with a touching comment in which she regrets that Payne's story did not have a different ending. She also thanks him for having been an important part of her life.

According to the DailyMail, Peazer had already spoken out a few days earlier about Payne's death, indicating that she did not have a full response to the news at that time. "Like all of us, I too am grieving, and need to take some time to do that privately," she said at the time.

Peazer also denounced the abuse she received via social media. "It’s a heartbreaking time, which has already been made so much more challenging due to receiving negative and misinformed comments as well as preconceived judgment from those who don't personally know me, Liam." At the same time, she thanked those who took the time to offer their condolences and support.

In addition to Peazer, Cheryl Cole, Bear's mother, also broke her silence on Payne's death. In her statement, Cole expressed her grief and stressed that her seven-year-old son will now have to grow up without his father.
