‘With Love, Meghan’ is Prince Harry and Meghan’s fifth project in their Netflix deal. Their previous collaborations were:
- ‘Harry & Meghan’, the controversial series all about their personal love story
- 'Heart of Invictus’, a bit more focused on Prince Harry and the Games he founded
- ‘Polo’, recently released in Dec 2024
- ‘Live to Lead’, a 2022 documentary where leaders come together to share their stories.

Netflix themselves describe this new TV series as "a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California". The show focuses around Meghan herself with her friends and enjoying everything from cooking to table placements and garden work.

The description continues: "Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same."

Harpers Bazaar confirmed that each of the series' 8 episodes will be approximately 33 minutes in length. Whether or not there are plans for a second season, or if this will be a miniseries, is unsure.

In March 2024, Meghan launched her lifestyle brand ‘American Riviera Orchard. There was a bit of hype surrounding the launch but, aside from a few jams sent to celebrity friends, there wasn’t really much else known about her next venture. With this new TV show, we get a bit more of an insight as to where this is all heading.

The products may finally be for sale to the general public upon the release of this TV series and the opening of Netflix's upcoming retail outlets. As the Daily Mail tells us, this range includes "olive oil, honey, and bread" and will be in Netflix’s new stores in Philadelphia's King of Prussia Mall and the Dallas Galleria.

In the voiceover in the trailer, the Duchess of Sussex can be heard saying: "I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it, surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them."

We know that Prince Harry will be appearing in the series. Perhaps this may be only a cameo, but we can expect him to pop in at some point, as well as the couple’s dogs: Pula, Guy, and Momma Mia.

Also set to appear in the series is Mandy Kaling. She previously starred on Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes. Netflix also confirmed a number of other guests, such as Meghan’s 'Suits' co-star Abigail Spencer, Roy Choi, and Alice Waters, along with guest chefs and 'special friends'.

Although the pair have a multi-million dollar mansion, Meghan isn't actually using their own home for the filming. Instead, she chose a €4.8 million estate just two miles from their house for the project, as the Mail Online tells us.

As per Mail Online, the mansion is owned by Montecito’s influential Cipolla family. The sprawling estate has eight acres of avocado and lemon trees, providing the perfect setting for that rustic feel Markle is going for. However, it has come at a cost to film outside her own home.

According to evoke-ie, a huge budget must have been poured into this TV show. Not only is the rent likely a pretty penny, but also the contents of the house seem to be expensive. It looks as though Meghan is using their €18k ($18.7k) cooker and pans that are worth over €700 ($728)!

Those closest to Meghan are excited about her TV show and what it means to portray her in this light. Her ‘Suits’ co-star Abigail Spencer says that the TV show is "an authentic look at the woman that I love and know."

Her pal Mandy Kaling also praised Meghan’s abilities: "She can do anything,… She's just such a thoughtful, creative person with stuff [at home], and she has a garden. She legitimately has gardens, so it was really fun for someone like me," Kaling told Variety.

Alex Silver, a media relations expert quoted by the BBC, said that Meghan’s venture is "all about herself" and that she "can't read a room".

Silver’s complaints about the TV show are based on the insignificance of the topic, saying, "There are more interesting and significant world events that are happening, which she could be talking about… She could've been raising awareness for charitable work or something."
Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan claimed that "while most American families are struggling with the economy", Meghan is "Marie Antoinette in a rented mansion with her ladybug cupcakes and long hair hanging over these ostensible edibles."

A source told the Irish Daily Mail: "It's make or break. People say Netflix is exhausted. It's so much work with her and, bluntly, the 'deliverable' does not seem to be worth it." Previous Netflix ventures with the couple have not had great success.

The BBC sums it up brilliantly. There are some who are in favour of Meghan’s venture, and some who aren’t. The Duchess of Sussex is like Marmite for many people and, as the BBC states, "this is likely to reinforce whatever people already think about Meghan, on either side of the debate."
