Milton and Helene: these celebrities helped the hurricane victims with money and music

Following the devastating impact of hurricanes Milton and Helene in the southern United States, several celebrities have donated money or music for the reconstruction of affected areas and to aid the victims of this terrible disaster. Among them is one of the richest stars in the world, Taylor Swift.

The CEO of Feeding America, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, thanked Taylor Swift in a public statement for her donation of $5 million: "We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous donation of 5 million dollars towards the hurricane relief efforts for Helene and Milton..."

"...This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to those affected by these devastating storms," the CEO of Feeding America explained. "Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they face upcoming challenges."

Similarly, the organization Feeding America thanked actors' couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for their donation of $1 million.

"We thank Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for donating one million dollars to our disaster relief fund for Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Their longstanding support of Feeding America in times of crisis has aided our work in the areas during and after disasters," the statement of the organization added.

Meanwhile, actor and filmmaker Kevin Costner and his band Modern West released the song 'Find Your Way' to benefit those affected by the hurricanes. The proceeds from the song go to the charity Hope Force International, dedicated to providing assistance in disaster-struck zones.

"Today, Modern West and I release our first song in over 4 years in support of the hurricane recovery efforts Helene and Milton. You can find the link to donate and download the song in my stories and bio..." Kevin Costner announced.

"...I've gone through seasons of darkness where I clung to song lyrics that really helped me get by," he added. "I hope ‘Find Your Way’ provides that kind of refuge for anyone who is struggling and loses sight of hope. You choose how much you pay for the song."

Singer Peso Pluma canceled his concerts in Florida due to the devastation of Hurricane Milton and then proceeded to assist in the recovery efforts for the affected areas.

According to EFE, the Mexican singer stated that his record label Double P and his team Prajin Parlay Inc. made donations to local aid organizations for the victims. The amount of the donations has not yet been disclosed.

The former American football player Tom Brady also joined in the aid for Florida by donating 100 thousand dollars to the victims of hurricane Milton. The storm made landfall in Florida as a category 3 hurricane on October 9, shortly after Helene did so on September 26 as a category 4 hurricane.

The site TMZ reported that his donation will go to the food delivery chain Gopuff: "In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I will make a donation of 100 thousand dollars to help deliver essential items such as food, water, and first aid to Floridians in need..." he said.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion added a request to his fans and followers: "Keep those affected by these storms in your prayers, look after your neighbors, and continue to help in every way you can. Stay safe and stay strong Florida."

The band Metallica also helped the victims through their foundation All Within My Hands, as they donated 100 thousand dollars to support the communities affected by Hurricane Helene.

"All Within My Hands is donating $50,000 each to World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon, to assist with the first response efforts," stated the band on their Instagram account. It also highlighted the band's followers that Helene had left behind a path of destruction 500 miles long in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

As such, numerous celebrities have contributed their bit to help Florida and other US states that were hit by hurricanes Helene and Milton. It's not only a moral boost to the victims but also practical aid to help them get back on their feet as soon as possible.
