Mystery still surrounds the unexpected death of journalist Chauncy Glover, 39
Chauncy Glover, renowned American journalist and winner of three Emmy Awards, died suddenly at the age of 39 on November 6. No information was disclosed about the cause of his death.
Chauncy Glover's death was announced by his own colleagues at KCAL News, affiliated with CBS News, in the midst of coverage of the US elections. The journalist died in Los Angeles on election day.

An Athens, Alabama native, Glover was buried in his home county on November 9.
In its statement about his death, KCAL News did not give the cause of death. A colleague, his former co-anchor Mayra Moreno, posted on her social media: "My heart is crushed and I simply do not believe it. Hope Chauncy has finally found peace." It's a comment that would suggest his demise was self-inflicted, but again, there has been no official statement on this matter.

Chauncy Glover was a top journalist who, in addition to his work on television, dedicated much of his time to helping others. One of the journalist's goals was to help guide young people, for which he created 'The Chauncy Glover Foundation', a non-profit organization whose purpose is to help families in trouble and improve the education of children.
"Chauncy's compassion and dedication to helping others, especially through the Chauncy Glover Project, changed countless lives and inspired so many young men to pursue their dreams," his family said in a statement.

The presenter had fulfilled many of his dreams. According to the Los Angeles Times, he was the first black news presenter on ABC's KTRK-TV network in Houston.

At the time of his death, Chauncy Glover anchored the 5 to 11 p.m. newscast on KCAL. His colleagues described him as someone who put his heart into everything he did.

In 2017, amid Hurricane Harvey, Chauncy Glover helped rescue a pregnant woman... as he was reporting on the hurricane! This feat brought him a lot of fame across the country.
A year earlier, in 2016, he had been awarded the Angelo B. Henderson Community Service Award, recognizing his charitable and altruistic work.
