Prince Louis in the spotlight

It doesn't matter if your grandfather is the King of England, photographers will always say 'never work with animals or children'. A number of times, the cameras have caught the royal children in not-so-royal moments. These moments are the ones we love to see: kids being kids.

That's not very princely!

These photos of young Prince Louis prove just that. Prince Louis has always been one to catch the attention of the press, knowing full well we could see some dancing, funny faces or exaggerated reactions at some point!

Kids can be embarrassing even if you are a Royal

If you are a parent undoubtedly at some point your child will embarrass you in public...even if you are a royal. Kate Middleton had to have a word with Louis at the Platinum Pageant on June 05, 2022 in London about his less than princely behavior.

It is too LOUD!

Prince Louis of Cambridge simply couldn't control himself during the Trooping of the Colour event on June 2 that same year.

Monkey business

Little Louis was full of beans at the events surrounding Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations causing both the delight and embarrassment of his parents.

Testing his mother's patience

Kate seemed pretty patient in the beginning, putting up with Louis' antics, but soon she seemed to reach her limit...

Stop that!

...Louis kept on acting cheeky so his parents called in the big guns...

Grandfather on duty

...and sent him to sit with his grandfather King Charles III. However, Louis looks rather delighted to be sitting with his grandpa!

Louis is just following in his father and uncle's footsteps!

Well, cheeky chappy Louis has a natural ability! Here we see young Prince Harry showing off his tongue when he was a child.

Mugging for the camera

Prince Harry loved to make silly faces when he was little! Here we see him sticking out his tongue at an inopportune moment, much to Princess Diana's surprise.

Look how cute I am!

A young Prince William wasn't interested in sitting for yet another family photo for his brother Prince Harry's christening. Instead the lively Prince wanted to put on a show for his family!

That's not very lady-like!

Princesses are meant to act like little ladies at all times. But as we said, kids are kids no matter what! Here we see young Princess Charlotte of Cambridge sticking out her tongue. Her mother Catherine, Princess of Wales, is smiling, but we know she must be dying of embarrassment!

Did somebody fart?

Here we see how Princess Isabella of Denmark fails to hide her disdain for something that is going up on that balcony! Perhaps her brother let one rip...

But official ceremonies are boring!

Princes and princesses must attend many, many official events and ceremonies. The children must appear engaged and interested while making an appearance. Not an easy task! Apparently, Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway wasn't very excited about celebrating the Norwegian National Day!

Please contain your excitement...

Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Prince Emmanuel attended the opening ceremony of the academic year 2020-2021 at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels. The Prince's face shows just how UN-excited he is about starting the new school year.

Sibling squabbles

We all want our children to act their best in public, and sibling conflicts can be very embarrassing. Even the royals cannot escape this problem, as demonstrated here as Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attempts to keep Prince Sverre Magnus from messing up his sister Princess Ingrid Alexandra's hair.

Controversial toy choice

For some years now, toy guns have been a bit of a controversial choice. Kate Middleton didn't seem to see a problem with letting Prince George play around with toy pistols.

No more pictures!

Dutch Prince Willem-Alexander could only laugh at his little daughter Princess Alexia, who was not feeling too cooperative for a family photo session.

Royal tantrums

Remember that supermarket temper tantrum scenario we mentioned? The embarrassment must be 100x worse when you are surrounded by paparazzi!

Royal tantrums part 2

Princess Charlotte must have a strong personality, as there are quite a few photos of her giving her parents a hard time. We have to give the Duchess credit, though; she seems to be putting the little Princess right back in line!

Talking it out

After the epic tantrum explosion, there comes the time to talk it out and calm down. It doesn't matter if you are at an important ceremony or on the street - parents are always on call.

Don't say that!

Here Prince George's parents received a helping hand from Savannah Phillips. We don't know if Prince George was about to say something rude or stick his tongue out, but Savannah is keeping him in line!

Photo bomb!

King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima of Holland were attempting a nice family group shot when one of the children couldn't resist the chance to jump in front of the camera. King Willem couldn't help but join the fun! As we've seen, just because you're royalty doesn't mean you can control your kids any better!

A princess or a hooligan??

When Princess Beatrice's mother saw this picture, she must have thought, "Where have I gone wrong?!" Princess Beatrice looks more like a hooligan than a princess in this photo!

Fashion abuse

This photo isn't so much of a parenting failure as it is an example of elder mistreatment! How could Charles go along with the idea that it would be suitable to convince the late Queen to dress up in an ugly Christmas sweater? Well they didn't! These are just wax look-a-likes at Madame Tussauds, London.

More cheekiness from the next generation

We are looking forward to more cheeky royal moments, especially from the Wales children and, hopefully one day, the children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. They have stayed out of the limelight so far and we can't wait to see if they make a public appearance some day.
