Taste Atlas, the online guide that collects recipes from the most remote corners of the world, has compiled a ranking of the 100 best eating regions on the planet. We discover the top 20 - starting from the last. No less than seven Italian regions made the top 10!

(The ranking results are based on the evaluation of 395,205 different dishes and 115,660 food products)

20. Distretto di Beja - Beja District (Portogallo)

Location 20 for the area of Beja in Portugal.

Best dishes: Açorda à Alentejana (thinly sliced bread with herbs and poached eggs) and Sopa de cação (a fish soup enriched with herbs).

Best products: Ham from the Alentejo, Paio de Beja (smoked product), Ham from Barrancos, 'Carnalentejana' and Alentejo sausage.

19. Voivodato della Piccola Polonia (Lesser Poland Voivodeship)
