Jensen Ackless has joined the third season, delighting many with his superb performance. Everything from his twitches to his stance and glances embodies the character 'Soldier Boy' who is revealed as a troubled and deeply affected superhero. But where have we seen him before?

The New Zealander Karl Heinz Urban plays the character of Billy Butcher in the series, but before his great role in 'The Boys' we have seen him mostly in the world of cinema, starting out in his home country and then later moving to Hollywood.

Now, the greatest role on his CV is that of Sheriff Lucas Hood in 'Banshee' (2013-2016). It is a masterful series.

A candidate for an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, Elisabeth Shue - who plays Madelyn Stillwell in 'The Boys' - is well known for her roles in films such as 'Karate Kid' (1984), 'Cocktail' (1988), in the second and third instalments of 'Back to the Future' (1989 and 1990).

But it was 'Leaving Las Vegas' (1995), where the nominations rained down on her. But after participating in the infamous 'Piranha 3D' (2010), the actress, a true icon of the 80s and 90s, went away only to resurface in 'The Boys'.

Karen Fukuhara is Kimiko Miyashiro, better known as The Female in 'The Boys'.

Her rise to fame came from her role as 'Katana' in the movie 'Sui**** Squad' (2016) and she is also known for playing the character of Glimmer in the Netflix series 'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power' (2018).

Tomer Kapon is an Israeli actor who has become known for his multi-faceted role as the professional criminal Franchie in 'The Boys'.

In his home country he has starred in popular television shows made for export such as 'Hostages' and the political suspense television series 'Fauda'. In 2016 he received an Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In 'The Boys' he is the very fast A-Train, but Jessie Usher began his career as a leading actor in the world of television with 'Level Up'.

Irish actress Dominique McElligott plays Maggie Shaw - Queen Maeve - in 'The Boys'. She first became known when she starred with Sean McGinley in the Irish series 'On Home Ground' between 2001 and 2002.

Her big break in the world of cinema came in 2008 when she made her first film, the terrifying 'Dark Floors'. In 2010 we could also see her in the romantic comedy 'Leap Year'.

American actor of Cuban descent, Laz Alonso studied Marketing at Harvard and set up his own company dedicated to promoting fashion products.

As for his work as an actor, it has been very extensive, with roles in films such as 'Avatar' and 'Fast & Furious' (both from 2009). In the latter, he was also in the sixth instalment in 2013 and we will also see him in 'Avatar 2'.

Canadian actor Nathan Mitchell is well known for his role as Black Noir on the Amazon Prime Video series 'The Boys', but had already made his acting debut in 2007 with a recurring role on the series 'Aliens in America'.

The evil villain Liberty, also known as Stormfront, is one of the most surprising characters in 'The Boys', a role played by Aya Cash.

We previously met the actress as Gretchen Cutler in the FX dark comedy series 'You're the Worst'. She has worked in film, television and theatre.

In 'The Boys' she plays the role of Congresswoman Victoria Neuman, the character who is keeping us on our toes in the third season of the series.

Esposito is an American actor and film and television director, though many know him for his great role as Gustavo 'Gus' Fring in the series 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul'. In addition, we have also seen him on Disney + playing Moff Gideon in 'The Mandalorian'. He made his Broadway debut in 1966 as a stage actor at the age of 8; in cinema, we have seen him in the film 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' (2018) and in other series such as 'Once Upon a Time'.

Billy Butcher's wife in 'The Boys', Becca, is played by Shantel VanSanten, an American actress and model. She was already mixed up with superheroes when she appeared in the second season of the series 'The Flash' (between 2015 and 2016) and we saw her in 'One Tree Hill' between 2009 and 2012. In cinema, she debuted in 2009 with 'Final Destination 4'.

American actress and dancer, Jennifer Esposito, apart from having been married to Bradley Cooper, is also known for having an impressive CV in film and television. The smallest in the universe of 'The Boys'. Cameron Crovetti plays Ryan Butcher, the son of Billy and Becca Butcher. He was born in 2008 and rose to fame alongside his twin brother, whom he worked with in 2017 on the HBO series 'Big Little Lies'. In it, they both played the children of the character played by Nicole Kidman.

The former partner of Jim Carrey, actress, director, model, businesswoman and activist Laurie Holden has made a mark in the world of acting. In 'The Boys', she is the Crimson Countess, but her face is very familiar to us from other roles such as that of Marita Covarrubias in 'The X Files' (between 1996 and 2002) and that of Andrea Harrison in 'The Walking Dead' (between 2010 and 2013). Canadian actress, Brittany Allen is Popclaw in 'The Boys', but we already knew her long before for her role as Marissa Chandler in 'All my Children', where she featured between 2009 and 2010 and for which she received the Daytime Emmy Award for best young actress a year later, in 2011. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in films such as 'Extraterrestrial' and 'Backgammon'.

Colonel Grace Mallory from 'The Boys' is brought to life by the great performance of Laila Robins, an actress who has worked in film, theatre and television. On the small screen, we have seen her in 'Homeland', 'The Blacklist' and 'Murder in the First'.
